4 The Terrace Restaurant Dining at The Terrace Restaurant is what makes a stay at The Montagu Arms a truly memorable experience. The Michelin Star, 3 AA Rosette restaurant pays homage to both tradition and innovation, offering a variety of delectable dishes in a distinctively sophisticated English setting. The menu, created by Michelin star chef Matthew Tomkinson, uses only the finest quality seasonal ingredients, which are, as far as possible, local, free-range and organic. The exemplary standard of award-winning cuisine and fine wines is reflected by the accolade of having been voted Hampshire Restaurant of the Year by Which? Good Food Guide. The Terrace is well known for its extensive wine list including organic, unoaked and prestigious wines and champagnes, and our wine experts are on hand to help suggest the perfect choice to complement your meal. 8 Out and About The Montagu Arms is ideally situated for exploring the local area. Whether you enjoy walking or would prefer to cycle along one of the New Forest s dedicated routes of over 200 miles of track, there is plenty to discover. Catch a glimpse of the deer at Bolderwood at feeding time, follow the fascinating Tall Trees Trail at Blackwater and see the famous Rhododendrons along the enchanting Rhinefield Ornamental Drive. Local attractions include: Beaulieu Palace House, Abbey and Motor Museum a favourite with adults and children alike, the glorious Exbury Gardens, The New Forest Otter and Wildlife Park and also Bucklers Hard and Maritime Museum the historic shipbuilding village where Lord Nelson s fleet was built. The nearby town of Lymington offers pretty boutique-lined cobbled streets and a Saturday market, plus a charming marina and ferries to the Isle of Wight. Leave the M27 at Junction 2, and turn left at the roundabout, following brown Tourist Board signs for the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu (A326).
