These unique hideaways offer a peaceful retreat for guests visiting the park, which is located on the edge of the spatown of Pedras Salgadas, famed for the exceptional mineral content and curative powers of its waters Each innovative, modular hut features an original configuration of spaces entrance, living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, and are built using indigenous raw materials. They are modern in both composition and interior design and feature cutting edge technology.?# Tree houses: double bed, bathroom, kitchenette, sofa, two windows one through which the life of the park may be observed and another to look at the stars. The main hall featuring a stage, caters for up to 350 people, and three support rooms have the capacity for up to 80 people each. The Pedras Salgadas Park lies at an altitude of 580m and covers an impressive area of 20 hectares, with 8 km of winding paths The region surrounding the park comprises the high mountains and deep valleys of the Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. It is one of Portugal s most productive areas known for its port wine, olive oil and honey, and wildlife is abundant The environment is ideal to experience extreme sports and guests can enjoy the region s protected areas including the Azibo Lagoon, Peneda-Gerês National Park, and the Alvão, Douro International and Montesinho Natural Parks The health benefits of the thermal water at Pedras Salgadas was officially recognised in 1873 at the International Exposition of Vienna, which lead to the construction of a Thermal Spa.
