5 Test drive 1 SILVES & SÃO BARTOLOMEU DE MESSINES This scenic route takes you from Vila Vita Parc to Lagoa, onto Silves and to the beautiful countryside of São Bartolomeu de Messines, with a pit stop for a possible coffee break/lunch and/or drivers change. Return towards Albufeira, until Malhada Velha, where the road changes from countryside to A22 motorway, until Alcantarilha. Here you leave the motorway again and drive on the EN125 until Porches, and back to Vila Vita Parc. This scenic route has a total of 64 km and takes minutes driving time, including 51 km on rural roads, 4 km through towns and 9 km on the motorway. During the early months of the year, you will also see the unique almond trees in blossom on this route, which makes the drive even more beautiful. In the autumn, the scent of the orange trees will "drive" you crazy! Total distance : 64 km SUGGESTIONS: There are rustic stops available amongst the villages throughout the beautiful countryside of São Bartolomeu de Messines Test drive 2 MONCHIQUE This challenging route takes you from Vila Vita Parc to Portimão, onto the EN124 towards Caldas de Monchique. The windy road through the Monchique mountains offers many interesting curves where you can test the reaction of the car as well as your driving ability. Take a stop for a coffee break including the typical "chouriço" sausage and a glass of "Medronho" and/or drivers change at Caldas de Monchique. Resume back towards Portimão, onto Lagoa and Porches ending at Vila Vita Parc. This tour includes 72 km, 52 on country roads and 12 on the highway. Driving time is about minutes, the road takes you through the beautiful and quaint village of Monchique and the mountains. 6 Test drive 3 AUTODROMO INTERNACIONAL DO ALGARVE The Algarve Racetrack in Portimão opened in November It is a remarkable circuit, famous for its blind curves and ups and downs, a true "roller coaster", and a challenge to all drivers. It has become a popular venue for automotive industry launches due to the wide variety and high quality of the available facilities. On site, there are three different tracks: the main circuit with 4,685m, 42 pit boxes, and sqm paddock and has sprinklers installed in order to test the reaction of cars and tyres with aquaplaning. The other two tracks are a go-kart track and an off-road track. The Algarve racetrack is 20 minutes drive from VILA VITA Parc and the hotel owns a VIP lounge where we can offer private catering for 20 guests.
