Guests: Peter Muller, Charlotte Lawler, Frith Szigethy-Gyula The Changeover BBQ is to be held on 18th July at the home of Greg and Jo Thompson. The theme for 2015/2016 is 'Give a Gift to the World. The event begins at 4pm and continues to 8pm (or beyond). The cost is $30 per head and BYO drinks. RSVP to Greg 11th July. Details in the flyer further down in the Bulletin. Next meeting is Ron Brown's 40th Anniversary as a Rotarian. Congratulations Ron. Bowelscan - 64 kits have been sold. Thanks to Bruce Bavin for organising and to the Daylesford Chemist for their assistance. Ken Gillies attended the Science Expo at Federation University, Mt Helen Campus. The Club sponsored 3 Daylesford secondary students who enjoyed the experience The expo culminated in a trip to the Observatory in Ballarat.

Christmas Cheer appeal will be launched on 25th July with a sausage sizzle outside the ANZ Bank.

Charlotte is in Year 11 and is the Club's nominee for the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra in January 2016.

Charlotte spoke about why science was important to her in deciding about her future, and in wanting to make a difference in the world to peoples' lives.

3 Christmas Cheer appeal will be launched on 25th July with a sausage sizzle outside the ANZ Bank. Peter Muller, nutritionist and new member will explore options for healthier food at BBQ's. Our guest speaker this week was Charlotte Lawler. Charlotte is in Year 11 and is the Club's nominee for the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra in January This is a prestigious event and the District is able to send 22 students. Charlotte will participate in Stage 2 of selection in early August. Charlotte spoke about why science was important to her in deciding about her future, and in wanting to make a difference in the world to peoples' lives. Club members were impressed with her enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to reflect on her contribution. The meeting closed on time at 8:30pm.
