2 Explore Machu Picchu, Peru A wonder of the ancient world, the lost city of the Incas is the ideal place to unleash your inner historian. With 2 days to explore the Sacred Valley, once you ve left the road less travelled, you ll find majestic ruins, striking views of the Andes and local villages bursting with culture. Galapagos: Land and Sea Encounter the island chain that has enchanted explorers since Darwin first weighed anchor off its shores. Spend five days exploring the incredible wildlife of the Galápagos archipelago in the company of an expert naturalist guide. Start on land with a night in San Cristobal, to visit Laguna El Junco and Galapguera de Cerro Colordao to see the giant tortoises. Three of the evenings, return to the comfortable Queen of Galápagos to reflect on the day s adventure under a canopy of stars. Retire to air-conditioned cabins with exclusive lower berths and private bathrooms. 3 Machu Picchu Peru landscape Peru & Galapagos ITINERARY Day 1: June 18 Depart your home city for Toronto airport for departure to Lima, Peru Arrival transfer included. WHAT S UP Explore ancient ruins off the beaten path in the Sacred Valley with our expert guide, meet local artisans at a Planeterra-supported Women's Weaving Co-op and local village, take in mountain views on the scenic train to Machu Picchu, enjoy traditional treats and foods. B=Breakfast L=Lunch D=Dinner Day 2: Lima/Urubamba(1B, 1L) Board an early flight to Cusco then on to the Sacred Valley to visit the Ccaccaccollo community and Planeterra-sponsored Women's Weaving Co-op, explore the Pisac ruins and visit the Planeterrasupported Sacred Valley Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco. Day 3: Urubamba(1B, 1D) Visit the pre-incan salt pans of Las Salineras and tour the Ollantaytambo and Moray ruins. Enjoy a traditional Pachamanca-style meal of local specialities. Day 4: Urubamba/Aguas Calientes(1B) Catch an early transfer to Ollantaytambo station and board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes with option to visit the market. Day 5: Aguas Calientes/Cusco (1B) Enjoy a guided tour of the Machu Picchu ruins. Free time to explore on your own or take an optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cusco by train.

4 Inca guard Baby in Lima Day 6: Cusco (1B) Explore Cusco's historic streets, museums and local markets. Active options include whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking. Day 7: Cusco/Lima (1B) Fly back to Lima for the final evening. Day 8: Lima (1B) Depart Lima for your flight to Quito, Ecuador Day 9: Quito Arrive at Quito. Arrival transfer included. Day 10: Quito/Puerto Baquerizo Moreno (1B) Early morning, fly to San Cristóbal. Meet the CEO and transfer to the hotel for a first night's stay in the Galápagos Islands. Following lunch, begin the exploration of San Cristóbal visiting Laguna El Junco, the only freshwater lake in the islands. Also visit Galapaguera de Cerro Colordao to see the giant tortoises followed by a visit to the Interpretation Centre. WHAT S UP 1 night on San Cristóbal Island, 3 nightscruising and exploring the Galápagos National Park aboard the Queen of Galápagos, visit the giant tortoises, snorkel at the famous Kicker Rock, search for land iguanas on South Plaza Island, gain a deeper understanding of the unique ecosystem of the Galápagos. Day 11: Puerto Baquerizo Moreno/Isla Lobos (1B, 1L, 1D) Enjoy a morning snorkel excursion at Kicker Rock and visit to a nearby beach. In the afternoon, transfer to the boat. Afternoon visit to Isla Lobos to visit a sea lion colony.

5 Your ship: Queen of the Galapagos Ship common area Day 12: South Plaza/North Seymour (1B, 1L, 1D) Morning landing at South Plaza home to the largest population of land iguanas and a walk through the cactus forest. In the afternoon, visit North Seymour for guided walks to observe birds and wildlife, including vast sea lion colonies. Day 13: Chinese Hat/Bachas Beach (1B, 1L, 1D) Visit to Chinese Hat for snorkelling opportunities and to observe the birds and sea lions before taking an excursion to the beach on Las Bachas. In the afternoon, relax on the beach or swim in the crystal waters. Day 14: Puerto Ayora/Quito (1B, 1L, 1D) Visit the Charles Darwin Foundation to see the giant Galápagos tortoises before the flight back to Quito. Overnight at hotel. Day 15: Quito (1B) Prepare for your departure to Toronto, with transfers to your home city.
