12 Security Food Policy - Medellin The population of Medellin presents situations of food and nutritional risk that require attention, such as: High dependence of foreign food supply regions- 70% of the tons of the food consumed by Medellin come out of Antioquia. 68% of Households with food insecurity perception in various scales. Food and nutrition profile of Medellin % of homes lost money in the last month for a nutrition diet. Quality of Life Survey ,5% of Age 18 having thinness or have a risk of thinness. 25% in the same group, have overweight or obese 49,5% of population over 18 had adequate weigh for age.
