1 Sea Ranch Pacific Coast Beautiful beach front estate (Nicaragua) Sea Ranch, a beautiful beachfront Estate is situated near the fishing little village of Ostional at about 40 minutes' drive south from the pretty town of San Juan del Sur, a surfer's paradise, on the Pacific Ocean in Southern Nicaragua. 6 ; Nicaragua land of lakes and volcanoes Nicaragua is a tropical paradise blessed by nature. This beautiful land is located in the heart of Central America between Costa Rica in the south and Honduras in the north. It links the two great continental masses of North and South America, while separating the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Nicaragua is a tropical volcanic country and with two large lakes, Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua, in the southern part of the country. The kindness of the Nicaraguan people is very well known. If you visit the country you will notice that the locals are friendly, curious, open and welcoming to foreigners. Today s very modest salaries are slowly increasing cost of living still very reasonable. Nature in Nicaragua is everywhere and the country counts with many protected areas. It has many dormant volcanoes and a few active ones. One could say there is always a volcano in sight. In the early days, the pre- Colombian time, many cultures were living in peace with their natural habitat and many utensils are proof of these prosperous times. In some areas the arts and culture of these ancestors are still visible, e.g. San Juan de Oriente is still famous for its beautiful ceramic art. Tourism hasn't developed yet like in the neighbouring country Costa Rica, but these past years we see an increasing number of tourists from various countries. That is what makes Nicaragua unspoiled and pure for those who seek adventure and beautiful, untouched sites. Especially the south of Nicaragua, around San Juan del Sur, has a lot to offer and is called Surfer s Paradise. History and culture can be found in cities like Granada and Leon. Managua is the main capital of Nicaragua and nowadays, offers modern facilities like shopping malls, cinemas, restaurants and business centers. 60 km south of Managua is the enchanting city of Granada on the shores of Lake Nicaragua; the biggest lake in Latin America. Granada, the oldest city in Nicaragua, was founded in It is one of the first European settlements on mainland Americas. With an estimated population of , Granada is Nicaragua s fourth largest city. It has a rich colonial heritage, expressed in its architecture and layout. Nowadays Granada is a popular place for tourists. The colonial architecture with many colorful facades makes Granada a feast for the eye. Tours to the Mombacho Volcano, a trip with extraordinary views of Laguna de Apoyo, a shopping moment in nearby San Juan de Oriente, known for famous pottery, or a boat trip around the Isletas, it is all possible.
