DRIVERS ALERT FOR ALL PROJECTS: Watch for lane restrictions and flagging operations! To view the comprehensive state-wide construction map, visit: INTERSTATE ROADWORK Interstate 81 Exits 165A-175: Northbound and Southbound, Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes-Barre Twp, Plains Twp., Luzerne County. Herbicide Spraying Monday (6/16) to Thursday (6/19) 7am to 3pm. Exits A: Bridge rehabilitation work is southbound with two lanes of travel. A stop sign on the ramp from Moosic controls merging traffic. Project includes construction of temporary crossovers and complete re-decking of three bridges between Exit 178A (Avoca) and Exit 180 (Moosic). Work is SOUTHBOUND ONLY. Northbound 81 has no restrictions at this time. NORTHBOUND work starts in the Fall 2008 or Spring Crews will work through winter Anticipated completion late summer Exits : NORTHBOUND, Lackawanna County, patching and crack sealing scheduled Saturday (6/14) between Exit 182 (Davis Sr.) and Exit 184 (River St.) RIGHT LANE RESTRICTED 5am to Noon. Exit 184 (River St.) Off-ramp of I-81 NB: Construction will begin soon on the widening of the River St. off-ramp at River St and East Mountain Rd. and the installation of a signal at the top of the ramp. Attention will be given to possible traffic backup on the ramp during peak times. DRIVERS ALERT: Watch for flagging and police presence enabling the safe and efficient movement of traffic through the work zone. Exit 185: Outgoing from Scranton, the right lane of the Central Scranton Expressway will be restricted Monday (6/16) thru Friday (6/20) for tree cutting and trimming. Work is 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Exit 190 (Dickson City/Main Ave. Viewmont Mall) NB & SB re-decking of the bridge over Business Route 6. Completion November Single lane traffic for night time shoulder widening work, Sunday 8pm to through Thursday morning 6am. Once bridge work begins, expect two lanes of travel, traffic pattern switches and merging traffic controlled by stop signs starting the end of June/beginning of July. DRIVERS ALERT: INTERCHANGE RAMP AREA WILL EXPERIENCE BACKUPS. TAKE CARE IN UTILIZING RAMPS AS TRAFFIC WILL

Anticipated completion is Bridges being done this year are: Mile over Route 374 between Exit 206 (Glenwood-Lenoxville) and Exit 211 (Lenox) (2 structures). DETOUR HAS BEEN REMOVED; Road is open. Project was awarded to the Fahs Construction Group for a bid of $877,000. Work includes removal of an existing steel/timber single span bridge and replacement with a single span composite pre-stressed spread box beam bridge, concrete curbing and sidewalk, bituminous approach work, drainage and pavement markings. Single lane, with stop sign; posted 15 tons, except combinations, 20 tons. Route 3013 (Main Avenue) Bridge, Taylor. Posted 10-ton weight limit. Detour on Union Street for trucks over 10 tons: from the Stauffer Industrial Park to Route 3011 (Keyser Ave.) to Route 3010 (Union St.) to Route Trucks accessing the Norfolk Southern Intermodal yard are not affected by this detour. LUZERNE COUNTY: POTHOLE PATCHING, CRACK SEALING: 7am to 3pm Route 118, Lehman Twp. Monday (6/16) Friday (6/20) Route 309 (North Cross Valley Expressway) Southbound between Exit 2 (Wilkes-Barre Center City) and I- 81 junction, Monday (6/16) through Thursday (6/19) Route 2007 (Laurel Run Rd.), Bear Creek Twp., Monday (6/16) Friday (6/20) Route 3006 (Nuangola Rd.), Nuangola Borough: Monday (6/16) Friday (6/20) ROADWORK, 7am to 3pm Route 2007 (Laurel Run Rd), Bear Creek Twp: Ditch cleaning Monday (6/16) to Friday (6/20) Route 3015, Nescopeck Borough. Stop sign will be removed from the intersection of Route 3015 (Broad St) and PA 339 during the week of (6/23). There will be message boards to alert drivers the week prior to and during the removal. BE ALERT WHILE DRIVERS ADJUST TO THIS CHANGE. Wilkes-Barre Downtown Lighting Project, Phase 3: Project will begin soon will begin soon installing decorative lighting on Franklin, Washington, Union and Northampton streets in downtown Wilkes-Barre. Work will not impact vehicle or pedestrian traffic, but caution should be taken around work zones. Anticipated completion is July Route 11, Berwick, at the Luzerne County/Columbia County line: Sewer pipe installation on Route 11 will detour traffic onto Fowler Ave. and left onto Second St. Monday (6/16) through Monday (6/23). Expect delays northbound; no detour necessary. Work is 7am to 5pm. Road will be open evenings. Route 93, Conyngham Borough / Sugarloaf Twp: Widening work will add a turning lane between Exit 256 on I-80 and Exit 145 on I-81. DRIVERS ALERT: Work on the right side of the road includes installation of curbing and paved overlay in the widened area. Work will likely switch to the opposite side of the road in late July. Watch for periodic daytime lane closures with occasional single lanes of traffic between 7am and 5pm. Route 309, North Cross Valley Expressway: Exits 3-2: SOUTHBOUND between Exit 3 (Wilkes-Barre/Plains, River St.) and Exit 2 (Wilkes-Barre Center City). Two thru-lanes and an exit lane, 7am to 3pm Exits 4-6: Crews will begin to place signage and to mobilize equipment the week of June 9 for the bridge preservation project on the Kingston side of the river, west of Route 11, between Exit 4 (Kingston/Forty Fort.) and Exit 6 (Luzerne). Shoulders will be built up and paved in

6 preparation for the work. While work will be daytime, effort will be made to keep work out of peak daytime hours.traffic will then be pushed to the shoulders as work begins, northbound & southbound, in the passing lanes. Permanent concrete barriers will be set in place, possibly the end of next week (June 18-20) and will remain in place full-time as deck work ensues. ONE LANE WILL BE CLOSED IN EACH DIRECTION for construction, but the remaining driving lane and the ramp lane will be reconfigured and will both act as through-lanes. The ramp lane will double as a ramp lane and as a through-lane; the second lane will be a dedicated throughlane. Traffic leading onto the expressway will be controlled by stop signs to enable the merge. Work will move to the underside of the bridge during winter and the barriers will be removed. Barriers will be restored in Spring 2009 and will remain in place as deck and surface construction continues. Susquehanna Supply Company, Inc. will repair the bridge deck, seal joints and encapsulate 5 piers. Work will last through summer ANTICIPATE SOME RECONFIGURATION OF LANES BUT NO APPRECIABLE DELAY OUTSIDE OF WHAT IS NORMALLY EXPERIENCED ON THIS ROUTE. More information regarding the timetable, direction of work, traffic patterns and restrictions included in the first phase will be released as soon as they become available. Route 315, Plains Township: Northbound & Southbound. Removal and repainting of paint lines Tuesday (6/17) in vicinity of Mohegan Sun entrance, just north of Jumper Rd. between 7am and 6pm. ALSO DRIVERS ALERT: Signal activation the morning of Wednesday (6/18). No restrictions to traffic, but be aware of new traffic patterns and flagging operation. Expect congestion and delays. Route 315 & Oak St., Pittston: Oak Street right turning lane open. Route 315 NB: left turning lane and Route 315 Southbound left lane will both be closed until Friday (6/20) Work is 7am- 4pm. All lanes OPEN in the evening. Route 1035 (Cider Run Road) Franklin Twp: Bridge replacement will continue through end of June. Routes (River St. & Main St.): Water line installation until mid-june on Main St., Pittston, from the intersection of Route 2004 (River St.) and Route 2024 (Main St.), north through town to the Fort Jenkins Bridge. RESTRICTIONS & CLOSURES: Detours, weight restrictions Route 1021, (8th Street Bridge) Wyoming Borough and Jenkins Twp: PennDOT has posted a reduced weight limit of 32 tons for single and 40 tons for combination vehicles on this structure. Replacement is set for spring Recommended alternate route for trucks is via Route 2004 River Street, South to Route 309 Cross Valley, North from Exit #3 to Exit #4 to Route 1005 Rutter Avenue to Route 1005 River St. to Route 11 Wyoming Avenue North. Route 3014 (Dump Hill Rd): the bridge over Nescopeck Creek, Nescopeck, Southern Luzerne County, has been weight restricted to 6 tons or 1 truck. Route 7304, the Regent St. Bridge over Solomon Creek: This is a local bridge project administered for the City of Wilkes-Barre. Work will continue through the summer.

Project has 4 work areas: 1) Route 739 between I-84 and the intersection with SR 434. A sharp curve will be removed. DRIVERS ALERT: Watch for a single lane of traffic controlled by a signal. 2) Curbing and similar drainage work will be done at the intersection of SR 739 and 434. No work has started at this location. 3) On Route 434 in between Route 739 and SR 6, a sharp curve will be removed. Traffic will be controlled by a temporary signal. Clearing phase is complete. No work currently at this location. 4) On Route 6 at the intersection with Route 434: 434 will be realigned to meet Route 6 at a perpendicular angle. (Currently there is a jog to meet Route 6.) DRIVERS ALERT: Temporary signal has been activated to control a single lane of traffic. Work will continue through fall Two lanes of travel will be maintained throughout the project and controlled by the temporary signals. DRIVERS ALERT: Be aware of construction vehicles and crews. Travel could be slow. Route 1001, over branch of Tunkhannock Creek, Gibson Twp: Single lane bridge with temporary stop sign. Route 1009, Harmony Twp.: Single lane bridge with temporary stop sign. Route 2040 (Skyline Drive) at Intersection of Main St. and Intersection of Lower Rd./Church St./Stillwater Rd., Uniondale Borough: Restricted to a single center lane. Legal loads permissible. Traffic is controlled by a stop sign. Route 3001, Clifford Twp.: Single lane bridge with temporary stop sign. Route 3027, Jessup Township: Signals control traffic on one-lane temporary bridge. Route 3029, Forest Lake Township: The bridge over Forest Lake Creek, 3 miles north of Route 706 has been posted with a weight limit of 18 tons, except combinations, 32 tons and is limited to one truck. Route 3029 over East Branch Wyalusing Creek, Jessup Township has been posted, because of deterioration, for 28 tons, except combinations, 34 tons.

Monday 06/16) & Friday (6/20) Route 6, Honesdale Borough: Removal of existing 4th Street concrete bridge is almost complete. Traffic will be maintained on this bridge during this process. Temporary signals in place for the next year at 4th & Church streets; and at 4th/Cliff & Willow streets. Traffic is reduced from 3 to 2 lanes, one lane each direction. Beams for the Church Street were set; work has started on the placement of deck pans, reinforcement steel prior to the placement of the concrete bridge deck surface tentatively scheduled for mid to late June. Park Street is closed with detour from East St. to Main St for pavement removal, curbing and paving to the bridge approach. Closure through August. Local access for residents provided. DRIVERS ALERT: New traffic patterns. Concrete barriers reduce the lanes widths and permitted loads are restricted to 10'6" through work zone. Do not block the intersections. Allow for left turns during peak time to facilitate traffic. DETOUR for 12th Street at the intersection with Church St. Left turns only from Church onto 12th Street. Detour uses 11th Street to access 12th Street. Project includes construction of the Church Street Bridge over the Lackawaxen River; widening of the 4th Street Bridge, turning traffic one-way on Main and Church streets, adding new traffic signals. Work is Monday through Friday, 7am to at least 5pm. Route 170 bridge over the Lackawaxen River, Clinton Township: Mobilization will begin this week for upcoming rehabilitation of the bridge. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane controlled by a stop sign. Susquehanna Valley Construction Corporation was awarded the project for a bid of $728,864.
