4 CULINARY DEMONSTRATIONS At Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel you can learn to prepare a perfect ceviche, a traditional Peruvian dish consisting of citrus-marinated seafood, spiced with chili pepper. You ll also discover the art of mixing a pisco sour - a cocktail infused with exotic native fruit with a twist. Take the recipes with you and enjoy the culinary creations time and time again. 10 ANDEAN WEDDING - ARAC MASIN The Andean wedding is the symbolic Andean ceremony for couples those looking to express their love for each other or renew vows. It is a unique experience with unparalleled Andean mysticism and spirituality. This private ancient ritual takes place in the terrace of the hotel and is decorated with flowers, andean cereals and coca leaves. Led by a shaman, this mystical scenario calls upon the Incan gods to guide your relationship to last eternally. 12 THE ROMANTIC DINNER MUNAYKI I LOVE YOU IN QUECHUA The Munayki menu is genuinely based on the andean belief of the old peruvian ancestors which describes and promises abundance and a venturous future for the married couple who will be rich especially in love. Includes: 7-course tasting menu, inspired in Cusco s traditions and the ingredients of the Sacred Valley, marinade with Malbec Merlot wine (national brand). Customized service in the private terrace of the hotel. Romantic decoration in the terrace: roses, flowers, lamps and aromatic candles. Kit Munayki for dinner and a special present for the couple. 14 CULINARY ACTIVITY PACHAMANCA For those who wish to experience a culinary tradition of the Incas, Sumaq offers an outdoor culinary experience called Pachamanca, or Earth Pot. During the activity, you can see how a traditional Andean meal is prepared, as stones are placed to form an underground oven for ingredients such as potato, fava beans, aromatic herbs, and lamb meat. Ingredients are covered with large leaves before the oven is sealed with the earth. When the ingredients heat and aroma fills the air, lunch is ready to enjoy with a glass of frutillada, a beverage made of fermented corn and red fruits. Includes: Tips on how to do a Pachamanca cookout. Lunch Toast with a glass of Chicha de Jora a beverage made of fermented corn. Participants: minimum 4 guests maximum 12 guests. Duration: 2 hours

16 PAYMENT TO THE EARTH RITUAL PACHAMAMA This traditional practice of giving offerings to Pachamama, Mother Earth, has been passed down from the time of the Incas, as Ancient Peruvians held Pachamama sacred. This ritual remains a part of daily life for many locals in surrounding regions of Machu Picchu. With a shaman as a guide to the traditional practice, you can discover a realm beyond the physical world and are open to emotional and spiritual healing.
