Take in the mesmerising sights of massive ice flows, humpback whales, waddling penguins, leopard seals and more in their natural, and somewhat extreme, element. - Paradise Bay, Antarctica Scenic Cruising: 2:00pm to 4:00pm This name aptly reflects the stunning beauty you ll find here, just as the clear waters beautifully reflect the spectacular mountains, such as Rojas Peak, Bryde Peak, and the Petzvol Glacier. Overnight: Ibis Larco Miraflores, Lima Day 3 Lima Cusco Cusco City Tour Today you will be transferred from the hotel to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be met and transferred from the airport to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a half-day city tour. You will see the centre of the Inca Empire, the Plaza de Armas. You will also see a cathedral built on the ruins of an ancient Inca Palace. Next stop will be the old town, with its magnificent renovated colonial buildings, before driving to Sacsayhuaman ruins on the outskirts of Cusco. Overnight: Casa Andina Classic, Cusco Day 4 Cusco Sacred Valley Today you will head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, located on the banks of Vilcanota River. You will enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of the Pisac Archeological Complex and then drive to town where you can appreciate the main square, a colourful market full of crafts such as ceramics, textile art and personal accessories made by its inhabitants. After lunch (not included) you will continue your excursion to the enigmatic fortress of Ollantaytambo, a citadel built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect from invasions of forest dwellers. Overnight: Sacred Valley Hotel Day 5 Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu Cusco Transfer by bus to the train station this morning, where you will board a train through the breathtaking Sacred Valley. Along the way see lush, green fields and colourful villages in the foothills of the Andes to Aguas Calientes. From there, board a small bus for the drive up the steep mountain to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Called the Lost City of the Incas, this cultural heritage of mankind is a beautifully located impressive stone city constructed with a technique incredible for its era and even for present times. Enjoy a guided visit of the site. Return to Ollantaytambo by train, transfer to the hotel in Cusco. Overnight: Golden Park International Foz, Iguazu Falls (Brazil Side) Day 18 Iguazu Falls, Brazil Side Today visit the Brazilian side of the falls. The tour leaves from the hotel by coach and crosses Iguazu National Park as far as the Brazilian Falls. Walk along the paths following cascades and then along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of Devil s Throat to enjoy magnificent views. Take an elevator up to the road, and there board the coach and return to the hotel. Leaving from the hotel on the Brazilian side for a drive and a quick customs check, cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguazu River, which forms the border between Argentina & Brazil. Once in Argentina, the tour takes a scenic highway in the Argentinean Iguazu National Park. Stop at the Visitors Centre and proceed from there to the Superior Circuit, the up-river cascades, the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls and then the Ecological Jungle Train that leads visitors to and from the most impressive observation point of the falls The Devil s Throat. On the way, enjoy views of Copacabana Beach, Botafogo Beach and Palácio Guanabara. Before heading up, you ll reach Tijuca Forest, stopping at Paineiras to board the vehicles up to Corcovado. The visit to the monument lasts approximately 45 minutes. In case of poor visibility on the summit of Corcovado, you will make an alternative stop at Mirante Dona Marta (362m), generally less affected by cloudiness. Board the cable-car and Urca Hill (200m) and Sugarloaf, staying there for around 30 minutes at the top. Afterwards visit the Maracanã Stadium from the outside (stopping at Bellini s statue for pictures) and then head to the Sambadrome (the stadium for the city s main Carnival parade). You ll then see the Lapa Arches, Lavradio street and Avenida Chile. Visit the cone-shaped Metropolitan Cathedral, not only one of the Brazilian city s landmarks, but also a masterpiece of modern art. Then, visit the Escadaria Selarón one of the most fascinating and original staircases in the world. Head to the São Bento Monastery, which has been compared to a museum and has a monastic simplicity making it one of the most beautiful architectural complexes in Brazil.

Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. Tour Leader: An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured. Cruise Disembarkation usually begins 2 hours after docking. Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing. Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice. Coach Tour Meals: Daily breakfast is included in the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. You can also enquire about any allergies and food and if necessary advise meals to be to be prepared with any medication you require. Luggage: You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of their luggage from the coach. Gratuities: Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. VISAS ARGENTINA Australian citizens travelling to Argentina from the 1st of July 2017 onwards will not be required to pay the current reciprocity fee of $100 USD to enter the country. They are allowed to stay up to 183 days in Peru. BRAZIL (post-tour extension only) Prior to arrival in Brazil, Australian tourists must arrange a tourist visa through the Embassy of Brazil in Australia.
