Welcome Lunch at Castrillo de los Polvazares, also a town province of Leon declared a historic and artistic town. We will taste the typical dish of the Maragata Region El cocido Maragato. Continue our path with a visit to O Cebreiro At the entrance of Galicia an must is to stop at O Cebreiro, the beginning of the Road to Santiago in Galicia. Highlights: Santa María la Real de O Cebreriro Church from the IX century that preserves the Pallozas Elipitcas (typical circular houses made out of stone and thatched roof) where men and animals helped each other, situated 1300 meters high. The end of the phase we see Portomarín, on the footsteps of Embalse de Belesar, formed by the Miño River. In the center of Lugo, the antique Lucus Augusti, is surrounded by a Muralla romana of meters of circumference. This impressive fort, one of the greatest in its time, erected at the end of the III century and the beginnings of the IV century. A great part of this phase are right next to the road and asphalt. Here we will encounter multiple signs that indicate that we are in a pilgrims zone, as the famous cruceiros. Day 4) (breakfast + lunch + acommodation) Third phase: Casanova - Ribadiso (20 km) We begin the journey in the province of La Coruña. We find ourselves immersed with pines and eucalyptus trees. Numerous medieval bridges like Leboreriro and Furelos. Obligatory stop in Melide, quite famous for its octopus Day 5) (breakfast + dinner + accommodation) Fourth phase: Ribadiso - O Pino (20 km) Breakfast and start of this new phase. Nice and pleasant terrain, easy to walk through, masses of trees. Close to the road, that you walk through in occasions, to lastly conclude in Santa Irene. Day 6) (breakfast + dinner + accommodation in Santiago) Fifth phase: O Pino - Santiago de Compostela (20 km) Easy walk, except the uphill to San Marcos, from Lavacolla. Already in the Monte do Gozo we can see from a far Santiago and the cathedral. Only 4km left to the cathedral. Arrival to Santiago around 15:00, we can obtain the Compostela at the pilgrim s offices and assist the pilgrimage mass at 19:30.

Day 8) (Desayuno) At 9:30 return to Madrid or end of the journey so you have time to explore more of Santiago.

If you have some type of dietary restrictions, gluten free or vegetarian please do communicate it at the inscription. We are able to adapt to any necessities. Accommodation: Our accommodations are classified under the name of Rural Tourism Houses and they are charming accommodations that not all the time are close to the path of the road to Santiago. They all have the commodities of a four star hotel but with the peace, tranquility and unique charm of the Galician hospitality. It is surrounded by nature and unique peace. Best kept secret of the rural Galician tourism. Walk: Each pilgrim will walk at its own pace, it is not necessary or advisable to walk everyone in group, everyone can enjoy the road. The support vehicle will be available in a series of intervals each hour to provide everyone with fresh water and fruits. You are able to hop in the car whenever you feel like. Assistance: The vehicle will help as support all along the road and will transfer the luggage of the pilgrims between the accommodations. Also will help any need along the way (pilgrim is injured, tired, etc,..) The vehicle has a first aid kit. Mobile telephone with spanish chips are given to always be in contact with each other and if there is any problem. Your family members are able to contact you through there.
