3 Outstanding Results, November 2014 International Visitors to Mexico (Banxico) According to Banco de México, the number of international tourists traveling to Mexico surpassed 25.8 million in January-November 2014, a new record high for any January-November period. The incoming of foreign currency from international visitors to Mexico from January to November also was a high record totaling 14,468 million dollars. During January-November, 2014, the tourism balance was positive totaling 5,789 million dollars; number higher than the record achieved in any January-November period in a year. International visitors increased 2.9% with respect to January-November, 2013, reaching 72.9 million of visitors. Hotel activity Domestic tourism The percentage of hotel occupation in a group of 70 resorts was 1.65% higher in comparison to their occupation in January-November 2013, reaching 57.24%. The arrival of domestic tourists to hotel rooms in these 70 resorts during January-November 2014, was more than 45.1 million people, being 4.5% higher than the number reached in 2013 during the same period. 1

4 Air transportation The arrival of passengers by plane increased 8.4% during January- November 2014 in comparison to the arrivals during the January-November period in 2013, reaching 45.1 million of air plane passengers. The arrival of passengers on domestic flights exceeded 29.8 million people; this is an increase of 7.9% in comparison to the January-November period of Also, the number of domestic flights increased 6.2% million of passengers were recorded on international flights, which is an increase of 9.3% in comparison to the January-November period of This result was accompanied by a higher number of international flights seen in the same period (6%). As for the number of people arriving by plane to Mexico by nationality, it was recorded in the same period that: Americans were the major group representing 55.6% of the total of air arrivals followed by Canadians with 12.6%; as for people arriving from Latin America and the Caribbean, Colombians stand out having reached 2.5%. Maritime transportation The ports that received the highest number of cruise passengers during the January-November period in 2014 were the following: Cozumel (3,010,253), Ensenada (638,408) and Majahual (354,464); Ensenada highlighted having an increase of 46.3% in comparison to the January-November period of Thus, the total of arrivals increased 28% during the same period. 2

8 Thousands of tourists International visitors to Mexico Long-stay Tourism The long-stay tourists arrival increased 9.4% during the January-November period of 2014, compared to the same months of the previous year. 85.7% entered by air while the remaining 14.3% entered by land. The number of passengers by air arriving on domestic flights during the January- November period of 2014 was 29,796,350 passengers, representing 2,190,096 additional passengers in comparison to the same period of the previous year. 14 During January-November, 2014, the number of cruise passengers increased at the ports of Ensenada (46.3%), Puerto Vallarta (50%) and Huatulco (1.5%) in comparison to the same period of On the other hand, accroding to Banco de Mexico, the income of foreign currency from cruise visitors contributed with 2.6% of all the foreign currency during the January-November period of the year. During January-November, 2014, the ports that received the most cruise passengers were the following: Cozumel, Ensenada and Majahual representing 81.8% of all the arrivals. 12
