1 Public Transportation Services in Cancun (Taxis and Buses) You can easily catch a taxi anywhere in Cancun. The main lobby of your hotel offers this service and the cost is variable depending on the zone you plan to visit. Near the bellman stand you will find a sign with current prices which are non-negotiable. If you are hailing a taxi from the street, we suggest you secure the price with the driver first. Buses run 24 hours a day throughout Cancun and you can catch them from any bus stand in the Hotel Zone to almost anywhere for only 8.5 pesos (Mexican currency only). R1 R2 R15 R27 all travel within the Hotel Zone although only half of them go as far as Wet n Wild you will need to verify with the driver. R2 R15 go to Walmart and the Market 28 (downtown Cancun). R1 takes you to Puerto Juarez where you can catch the ferry to Isla Mujeres. R27 takes you to Plaza Las Americas (downtown Cancun). There is also Bus One (a white bus) which is the only bus with air conditioning travelling in the Hotel Zone. This bus costs 11 pesos.
