1 April 30, 2013 Cathay Pacific to Increase Number of Flights to Hong Kong from September Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) announced that they will operate an additional 3 flights per week between Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) from September 1, 2014 (Monday). This will bring the total number of flights per week to 38 (max. 6 flights daily). The year 2014 commemorates the 20th anniversary of the opening of KIX as well as the launch of services there by CX. Recently we have had a lot of travelers from Hong Kong to Kansai area, and this trend is being expected to gain momentum by the additional number of flights. 3 Cathay Pacific Airways Increases Flight Services for Sapporo-Hong Kong and Osaka-Hong Kong Routes for a Limited Time Only Cathay Pacific Airways plans to increase the number of flights to meet a peak demand during this summer and autumn. From July 3 to August 30, the Sapporo-Hong Kong flight will be increased to 10 flights a week from current 4 flights; and from September 1 to October 25, the Osaka-Hong Kong flight will be increased to 38 flights a week from current 35 flights, respectively for a limited time only (government approval pending). Backed by strong demand for Hokkaido tours from Hong Kong in summertime, the Airways has enhanced the transport capacity, increasing daily flights between Sapporo and Hong Kong in July and August from are flight a day. From this summer they will further increase the number of flights to 10 a week. In the Osaka and Hong Kong route, they have already added daily flights from this February, operating 5 flights a day, totaling 35 flights a week. Anticipating stronger demand, they will operate additional 3 flights a week. With this increase, Cathay Pacific Airways will offer more flight options and convenient services through their global network, not only for passengers from Hokkaido and Kansai areas to Hong Kong but also for travelers to every part of the world far beyond Hong Kong. 16 April 30, 2013 Jetstar Japan increases flight frequency from June Early-morning and late-night service hours will also be expanded! We are delighted to announce that Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd. (JJP) will sequentially increase flight frequency on each route departing from and arriving at Kansai International Airport (KIX) from June 3 (Tue), Frequency will be increased to 6 daily round-trips (5 at present) on the KIX-Narita (NRT) route, to 2 daily round-trips (1 at present) on the KIX-Fukuoka (FUK) route, and to 3 daily round-trips (1 at present) on the KIX-Okinawa (OKA) route. In total, 13 daily round-trips (9 at present) will be operated due to these increases in frequency. With such increases, early-morning as well as late-night service hours will also be expanded. This will further enhance the domestic flight networks based in KIX and provide more traveling choices available to passengers. 17 Press Release Announcement Additional Flights and Adjustment to Summer 2014 Schedule ~Up to 94 Daily Flights*~ *To be subject to regulatory approval. Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd. Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd. ( Jetstar Japan ) (Headquarter Location: Narita City, Chiba Pref., Chief Executive Officer: Miyuki Suzuki) would like to announce that we will increase flight frequency on some routes for the summer 2014 flight schedule and commence air ticket sales starting from today. In addition, we would also like to inform that we have made a partial adjustment to the previously-released flight timetable. At present, Jetstar Japan operates up to 76 daily flights on 14 domestic routes within Japan. From June 2014, we will sequentially expand services up to 94 daily flights in August of the same year. With these increases in frequency, we intend to enhance convenience further for passengers by serving their needs. Flights will be increased on 6 routes* in total; 4 routes departing from and arriving at Narita International Airport (Fukuoka, Naha, Kansai and Takamatsu) and 3 routes departing from and arriving at Kansai International Airport (Fukuoka, Naha and Narita). It will also be increased on the Narita-Naha route from 3 (round-trip) to up to 5 (round-trip) daily flights for the summer holiday season when a large number of passengers travel by air for such purposes as homecoming and leisure. Furthermore, frequency will be enhanced from 2 (round-trip) to 3 (round-trip) daily flights, including daytime flights, on the Narita-Takamatsu route. Due to these increases, Jetstar Japan will operate the maximum number of services on domestic routes that depart from and arrive at Narita International Airport. Likewise, frequency will be increased from 1 (round-trip) to 2 (round-trip) daily flights on the Kansai-Fukuoka route, from 1 to up to 3 daily flights on the Kansai-Naha route, and from 5 (round-trip) to up to 6 (round-trip) daily flights on the Kansai-Narita route. These increases will make it more convenient for passengers to make round-trips from Kansai. By setting up early and late flights while taking advantage of Kansai International Airport operating 24 hours a day, we aim to provide passengers traveling from Kansai with a longer stay at their destinations. The Cooperative Union of Kansai Food Export Promotion Project is responsible for the management of the program. The use of KANSAI FOOD PACKAGE will enable small and medium operators to open overseas markets with simplified logistics procedure and risk management at low cost and to carry out actual trading business.
