2 Breakfast, last visit to Verona and then leave for Venice. First contact to the city and walk for its canals up to Piazza San Marco. Already Napoleon called the Piazza San Marco the finest drawing room in Europe of receipt, as in the past, the majority of visitors came to Venice from the Piazza San Marco, a few steps from the landing ships. The ambience of this magnificent square is indescribably wonderful. In the afternoon visit of the lagoon with a private boat and tasting of local delicacies gastronomic on the boat. Visit the Venetian lagoon and the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello. Free evening and overnight 4 day Breakfast and departure in direction of Modena. Tour with guide for the city and the cathedral, and than tasting of local cookery with experts and passionates about cooking. In the afternoon visit the Ferrari museum. Situated in the center of the Po Valley, Modena and the artistic beauty of its center, join with culinary specialties makes it a tempting mix for the tourist. Arrive, lunch and afternoon dedicate to the guided visit by foot of the city for the first historic and heritage contact with its squares and monuments. It focuses mainly on Camogli, an old village by the sea, and its surroundings. In the same area of the famous Cinque Terre, with the same environment, Camogli is a jewel of architecture, a large hamlet with a promenade along the beach, where no cars are allowed. Still several fisherfolks make a living out of the daily catch of their boats here. The place is part of the Regional Park of Portofino, a Protected Area since 1936, which looms beside the historical center. If you want to see what the beauty of mediterranean can be, please come and visit! Camogli is also one of the most popular sites to be visited from Milano. It can be done in 1 day, go and back, by car or by train. Alternatively, it can be covered in 2 days, if you take the time to do so, spending 1 night on the spot. The accomodation we propose for this overnight is within an old friars monastery, refurbished to welcome visitors, with a fantastic view on to the sea. 7 ONE DAY ONLY - no trek We propose two dates: May, Friday 22 nd 2015 or June, Monday 1 st 2015 The program is the same for the two dates. Program Leave by train from Milan Centrale at 8.10 (with Intercity 657). Reach Genova Brignole station at Here, one RAM person will pick up the group to travel together till Camogli. Welcome in the railway station in Camogli, at around Introduction with a guided walk through the old village, along with Mr Antonio, a local resident involved with the Ochin Association (Ochin means seagull ) - in many social issues related with the village. Visit the U Dragun headquarters too, people dealing with traditional boating. At 1 p.m. lunch with local food in a restaurant (you can choose between pastas and fish, or you can have both). After lunch, boat to Punta Chiappa, to know more about the local fishing activities and the natural park situation. The place is very beautiful. Back in Camogli at 5 pm, still by boat. Camogli has also 2 Fair Trade World Shops, that you are welcome to visit at the end of your trip. At 7 p.m. direct train back to Milano (arriving at 9.30 p.m.). Lunch with panini (italian well known sandwiches) at a small local cafe'. After lunch walk till San Fruttoso through the Regional Park of Portofino, still with a RAM guide. Local encounters. Relax in San Fruttuoso where, if the weather is good, you can also swim. Then walk till the Agririfugio Molini: coffee break,supplemented by a meeting with the responsible of the Cooperative Il Giardino del Borgo, which manages the place and the local olive orchards. Last walk back to the Monastery through another way, still through the woodsof the regional park. After a shower, transfer to the village of Recco specializing in gastronomic recipes and dinner in a local restaurant. Return to the Monastery. Overnight. 2 day: Friday, 22 nd of May In the morning go down to Camogli. Breakfast in a bar on the promenade. Free time in the village and, at 11 am, meeting with the rest of the group coming from Milan. Furtherly, guided walk through the old village with Mr Antonio, a local resident involved in many social issues belonging to the village. Visit the U Dragun headquarter too, a local association dealing with traditional boating. At 1 p.m. lunch with local food in a restaurant (you can choose between pastas and fish or you can have both). After lunch, boat to Punta Chiappa, know more about the local fishing activities and about the Natural Park situation. Back in Camogli at 5 pm, still by boat.
