Arrive JFK Airport, 2:18 pm, leave JFK on Air France Flight 023 at 4:20 pm Arrive Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, 5:45 am, leave Paris CDG on Air France Flight 1066 at 7:10 am. Visit the Archeological Museum (Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan art), enter as a group at 10 AM (closes at 7pm). I will meet with watercolorists at 3PM (San Gallo campus) to set up our schedule. Meet at the San Gallo campus, 9:30 am, walk to the Archeological Museum for reserved entrance at 10am. Piazza SS. Annunziata 9/b May 24 (Thursday) Visit Bargello Museum (Museo Nazionale del Bargello), Via del Proconsolo, 4, (closes at 1:50pm). Walk past Orsanmichele on the way. Visit Santa Croce & the Pazzi Chapel around 2 pm, Pia. Santa Croce 16 (open until 5pm). Meet at San Gallo campus, 8:00 am, walk to Bargello via Orsanmichele, enter Bargello at reserved time of 9:00am. Lunch together or on your own in the vicinity of the Bargello and Santa Croce. 2 May 25 (Friday) May 26 (Saturday) Day trip to Siena Visit the Siena Duomo (Cathedral) & Piazza Pubblico with optional visits (I ll pay) to Museo dell Opera (inc. Maesta) and Palazzo Pubblico. Visit the church of San Miniato al Monte, Via del Monte alle Croci (behind the Piazzale Michelangelo). Hours: Mon-Sat. 9:30am-1:00pm, then 3:00-7:00pm (vespers/gregorian chants at 5pm?) Morning: on your own. Travel Details TBA. Meet at 2:30 pm at San Gallo campus (then we embark on a long hike). We can return by ATAF PUBLIC BUS, either the 1) no. 12 from Piazzale Michelangelo - we then get off along Viale Guiseppi Mazzini and take the no. 6 to Piazza San Marco) or 2) at Piazzale Michelangelo we take the no. 13 to the Train Station May 27 (Sunday) On your own May 28 (Monday) Visit S. Ognissanti: Ghirlandaio s Last Supper, then Visit Orsanmichele (outside and inside). You may want to bring sketchbooks to sketch the statues. May 30 (Wednesday) Visit Convent of Sant Apollonia (Castagno s Last Supper), Via 27 Aprile. (this church closes at 1:50 pm). BUS adventure! Visit refectory of San Salvi (del Sarto s Last Supper). Open 8:15am-1:50pm, Tues-Sat. Most of Afternoon on your own. Meet at San Gallo campus at 9:00 am, walk around the corner to Sant Apollonia. Then we walk to Piazza San Marco to catch the bus. Take the ATAF public bus no. 6, get off along Via Lungo l Affrico at Via L. Manara or Via T. Speri. May 31 (Thursday) Visit churches of Santa Trinitá, Piazza S. Trinitá, then walk by and look at Alberti s façade of the Palazzo Rucellai, Via della Nuova, 18 Required Visit Santa Maria del Carmine (Brancacci Chapel), Piazza del Carmine, Group reservation for 6 at 3:45pm, closes at 5pm) Meet at 9:00 am at San Gallo campus, walk to Sta. Meet at the Michelangelo statue in front of the Palazzo Vecchio to join our local GUIDE, Martina, at 10:00 am sharp! 7 June 18 (Monday) LONG DAY! We will visit the Duomo, Florence Baptistery (Baptistery of San Giovanni), then will walk to the Museo dell Opera del Duomo del Fiore. Then, if time, climb the Duomo DOME (463 steps!) for a photo op and to see the inside of the dome (or finish tomorrow afternoon your ticket is good for 48 hours to all the Duomo sites). Meet at San Gallo campus at 8:00am; walk to Piazza Duomo.
