A SHARED VISION: push and reinforce an Industrial policy supporting a more competitive Industry in Europe and gather the Industry's stakeholders in order to discuss and highlight the Plastic Processing Value System and the Moulding and Special Tooling Industry's importance and strategic positioning for the sustainable development of European Industry and Employment.
A SHARED OBJECTIVE: Concerned about competitiveness and fostering the sustainability and growth of the European economy, the Clusterplast Consortium and ISTMA Europe plan to organise with the support of MANUFUTURE Platform the Clusterplast & European Tooling Forum -, gathering for discussion industrial companies, policy makers, R&D and Innovative organizations, media and European Decision Makers, to push and reinforce an Industrial policy to support a more competitive Industry in Europe.
CLUSTERPLAST CONSORTIUM, gathering six European Clusters within the Plastic Processing value system; In acknowledgement of the instrumental role reserved to clusters in the set-up, implementation and promotion of coherent economical development strategies, the Clusterplast Consortium aims to set-up a Joint Action Plan dedicated to support actions, common to the European Clusters, fostering the launch of a basis for sustainability and competitiveness. The common initiative embodies therefore a key and instrumental element in the Clusterplast consortium strategy, towards the achievement of the proposed goals.
ISTMA EUROPE, the European branch of the Tooling Industry Association is taking on a special role in the promotion of this opportunity and in the mobilisation of National Tooling Associations to motivate their member companies to participate on this important event.
MANUFUTURE Platform, supports also this event in compliance with their work in supporting European Industry, by identifying the priorities of the main European Industrial sectors and proposing actions to promote research and Innovation at European, national and regional levels.
EUROPEAN TOOLING PLATFORM, the Tooling focal point for Research and Development at European Level, gathering the Industry's key players and stakeholders for the proposal, development and implementation of R&D activities leveraging competitive differentiation and a European high added value engineering and production base, towards the Industry's increased competitiveness and leadership in world markets.
Clusterplast: European Intercluster Initiative [ s 1st day] 1st Dissemination Event and Technical Conference Building on the project s work on the assessment of the state-of-play in the European Plastic Converters Clusters and international benchmarking study - on Japan and US clusters -, the first day of the will be dedicated to the presentation of key results and perspectives for the Joint Action Plan, and consistently it will also integrate a first technical conference, under Clusterplast s umbrella, on the latest trends on key technologies for the Industry.
EUROPEAN TOOLING FORUM [ s 2nd day] Moulds, Dies and Tools Are complex and one-of-a-kind systems, materialising intensive knowledge on engineering and production. They are present in the design and manufacturing of almost all industrial products from aeronautics and automotive, to electronics, household, equipment goods and micro-devices. Having interfaces to the final parts (products and components) and production equipments (such as, machine-tools), the Tooling Industry is at the core of the production systems, determining their wealth, efficiency and robustness, having a structural and horizontal strategic effect in the sustainability of the European Industrial competitiveness. The Tooling sector has a critical role in the innovation processes, being both pivot and key enabler in the generation of superior and distinguished value.
EUROPEAN TOOLING FORUM [ s 2nd day] Vision & European Policy > The transformation of the European manufacturing Industry into a knowledgebased sector, capable of competing successfully in the globalised marketplace, depends largely on a sustainable presence, in Europe, of robust capabilities in Tooling manufacturing. > Development of a new European paradigm for the tooling (moulds, dies and special tools) Industry, creating the foundations for an excellence knowledge area which, by its transversal and strategic horizontality, supports the sustainability in all industrial sectors, from manufacturing of micro applications to large devices, from one-of-a-kind and small series to large scale and massive production.
EUROPEAN TOOLING FORUM [ s 2nd day] Vision & European Policy > Research addressing innovative technological developments should provide a contribution for the new European paradigm in Tooling Industry, in particular in the support of new business models and dynamic networking and in the deployment of the technological foundations of extended services along the tools life cycle and plastics processing value system.
