2 OVERVIEW The Tamarind is a self-contained paradise situated close to the sleepy fishing village of Bangsaray on Thailand s Eastern Seaboard; only 80 minutes drive from New Bangkok International Airport and less than two hours from the centre of Bangkok itself. The resort lies within the exclusive gated community known as Buraran, located in the foothills above Bangsaray and enjoys breathtaking views of the coastline and the islands dotting the horizon. The Tamarind is a secluded private retreat set in three acres of lush, tropical, landscaped gardens, recently voted one of Thailand s top 10, and featuring its own lake. The property has spacious living accommodation for up to 20 people, in nine beautifully appointed rooms (including one with four bunk beds). An additional six bedrooms are available in the adjacent Villa Buraran. There is also a variety of distinctive dining and sala lounges overlooking the 22-metre swimming-pool and the landscaped gardens. The Tamarind has a fully equipped gym, a private floodlit tennis court, a full-size boule pit, a massage sala facing onto the lake behind the house, a cinema suite with state-of-the-art TV & sound systems, and an office with computers, internet, fax and phone for executive use. VILLA INFORMATION Spice Lounge Warmth and comfort are abundant in this open-air living room, adjacent to the Dining Pavilion and overlooking the pool and patio. Splashes of zesty fabrics articulate the raised sofa lounge, with pillows and cushions in burnt orange, turmeric, mandarin and chocolate, off-set against a vibrant saffron wall with gold niches, creating an inviting and luxurious den and an always-shaded respite from the heat of the day. Sunset Lounge The Sunset Lounge is a spectacular roof terrace above the Dining Pavilion, open to the warm Thai sunshine and endless blue skies, with great views of the entire estate. Thick cushioned benches on all sides and a large Ottoman in the centre are designed for luxury lounging at sunset and star gazing by moonlight. There is absolutely no better place for friends to gather for a nightly sundowner, especially while dinner is being readied just a few steps below.

3 Lava Lounge QUINTESSENTIALLY TRAVEL The Lava Lounge is on the ground floor of the Main House. Featuring a 62inch cinema display and ample sofa seating, remote control electronic black out curtains and acoustic ceiling, this room provides the perfect environment for the ultimate in viewing and entertainment pleasure. Day or night, this media room comforts and relaxes, with its raspberry walls, custom-designed velvety charcoal and shiraz-coloured cinema-beds, and nut-brown bespoke cabinets and book-shelves. Dining Pavilion Just below the Sunset Lounge is the main covered dining area, overlooking the pool and adjacent to the Spice Lounge. This elegant space seats up to 24 people, 16 at an enormous solid teak rectangular table and 8 more on a matching oval table, both provided with luxurious upholstered wooden armchairs. With its raised floor and oak-paneled ceiling, which features 9 well-appointed overhead fans, the Dining Pavilion has also become the main meeting point for guests coming & going from early morning until late at night; providing commanding views of the entire property and always enjoying the beautiful reflections of the swimming pool, and the waterfalls and patio which embrace the area. Dining Sala The Dining Sala is the alternative open air dining area overlooking the lake and the Buraran hillside that is frequently selected by guests for breakfast, early morning meditation or as the ideal venue for daytime meetings. This entirely wooden Thai style structure also sits at the far end of the water garden, offering privacy away from the main activity areas with eye pleasing views in all directions. Massage Sala The Massage Sala is a unique feature of The Tamarind, being a stand-alone, fully-enclosed, Balinese-style sala (room) that has been equipped to accommodate up to four guests at one time each on special massage mattresses. The Massage Sala is also equipped for sound, allowing guests to be massaged by highly trained massage therapists in an unmatched atmosphere for body & mind healing and rejuvenation. Garden Sala The Garden Sala sits peacefully at the far corner of the garden and serves not only to authenticate what is truly Balinese about The Tamarind, but also to provide a truly private place for meditation, intimate conversation or just getting away from the crowd. Pool Sala The Pool Sala on the other hand, is a more modernistic Balinese sala located in the midst of poolside activity, providing the ideal place for an afternoon nap, poolside massage or simply to get away from the blazing sun. At night, it transforms into a magical place where its subdued lighting and pool reflections make it the perfect place to hide out with a special friend or simply be alone with the sound of crickets.

The Tower Standing 18 meters above the high point of the site and situated majestically at the back corner of the compound, adjacent to the lake, the Tower is a special place to escape to at any time of the day or night, where one is instantly rewarded with breathtaking views of the sea & surrounding hills or for that special encounter with nature away from the prying eyes of others. This is truly a unique feature of The Tamarind and a source of countless memories for all who climb its steps in search of the unexpected. The Office The Office at The Tamarind is a blessing for all who desperately need to get away with their family, but who also must have access to an office to deal with the routine or unexpected. The facility is a magnificent feature, designed by an executive for executives, looking out in all directions from its 2nd floor command post, and fully equipped with all the gear that even the most fussy of executives will require, including PCs, printer/scanner/fax & copy unit, telephone and ample space for 3 or 4 visitors when an ad hoc meeting is called for. The Bali House (Sleeps 4) The Bali House is a self-contained villa with 2 bedrooms, a living-dining room, and a kitchenette area. The design combines original Balinese temple doors and antique Indonesian furniture with contemporary accents and modern Asian style. Main House (Sleeps 8) The Main House is a two storey fusion of Thai & Balinese architecture housing three bedroom suites, the TV/Cinema room (known as the Lava Lounge) and the main kitchen. The 4 Pool Villas (sleeps 8) This min villa openings the swimming pool and the embracing pool patio. Each villa has high pitched ceilings and private en-suite bathrooms.
