Mr. Tom Pyne moves to Longreach. James Ah Foo owner of Terminus Hotel. 17 August 1887 Mr. James Ah Foo changes the name of the Terminus Hotel to the Springsure Hotel. 2 Western Champion, 9 August 1887 Western Champion, 30 August 1887 Western Champion, 29 January 1889 May 1890 Mr. Paddy Finn dismantles his Withersfield Hotel at Barcaldine, puts the lot on bullock wagons and takes them to the new railway siding of Ilfracombe. There, the hotel is rebuilt and renamed the Wellshot Hotel after the pastoral station on which it stands. The Withersfield Hotel was originally from a small railway siding west of Anakie, called 'Withersfield', and was erected in Barcaldine, where it stood for approximately 10 years. Land on corner of Oak and Willow Streets vacant.

3 Mr. James Ah Foo proprietor of the Springsure Hotel, moves the single-storey Springsure Hotel to the vacant allotment; but not right on the corner of Oak and Willow Streets. Butcher shop is on corner Mr. James Ah Foo proprietor of the Springsure Hotel during the Shearers' Strike. He supports the shearers and is presented with a painting of the shearers' strike camp site. July 1891 Mr. James Ah Foo leaves Barcaldine for Longreach to take up as licensee of the Federal Hotel. He donates the painting to the Barcaldine Union office. Mr. Patrick McCabe licensee of the Springsure Hotel. 3 November 1891 Charlesworth and Gribble own the 'Family and Carcass Butchers' butcher shop on the corner. Sam Sing & Co bakery and grocery business was next door. 19 February 1892 Mr. John Gribble carries on the butchery business after the Gribble and Charlesworth partnership is dissolved. June 1892 Mr. John Gribble's business is taken over by Mr. Luke Byrne. December 1892 Mr. Owen Devery takes ownership of the wholesale and retail butchery business of Luke Byrne. 28 March 1894 Owen Devery is adjudicated insolvent on his own petition. Mr. J S Butler Licensee of Springsure Hotel

4 1895 Mr. J S Butler seeks to transfer the license of the Springsure Hotel to Mrs M Devery. Western Champion, 9 April 1895 April 1898 Mrs. Margaret Devery (nee Burke) licensee of Springsure Hotel. March 1900 Mr. A H Heap owns wholesale and retail butchery business. 14 July 1900 License is transferred from wife, Margaret Devery, to husband, Owen Devery. The Capricornian, 14 July 1900 January 1903 March 1905 Mr. David Stibbards owner of A H Heap's wholesale and butchery business in Oak Street. Mr. Dave Stibbards moved his wholesale and butchery business to the corner of Ash and Willow Streets.

6 1909 Devery s immediately begin rebuilding. The new hotel will be situated on corner of Oak and Willow Streets. Mr Devery assures the Licensing Board that he will be ready for business by the time of the next licensing court in April April 1910 Application to change the name from Springsure Hotel to Devery s Hotel is granted by the Licensing Court. May 1910 Mr. Owen Devery's large hotel, Devery's Hotel, is finished on the corner of Oak and Willow Streets. Mr. Owen Devery is the original owner but brothers Darby and Jack Devery are also involved in the hotel.

11 April 1927 Devery family moves to Rockhampton. [Devery's Hotel is owned by Mr. Owen Devery until his death on 8 February 1947]. Farewell event for Mrs. Devery. Mr. Edward Joseph Sheehy licensee of Devery s Hotel. 24 December 1931 License is transferred to Mrs. Agnes Devery from Mr. Edward Joseph Sheehy. June 1932 Public auction is held at the Shire Hall to sell the balance of the furniture & effects from Devery's Hotel. Mrs. Agnes Devery licensee of Devery s Hotel 12 August 1933 License is transferred from Mrs. Agnes Kavanagh (daughter of Owen and Margaret Devery) to Mrs. Ellen Gilligan (daughter of Owen and Margaret Devery). Longreach Leader, 12 August 1933 December, 1933 Mrs. Margaret Devery dies in Rockhampton Hospital, buried in Barcaldine Cemetery. Morning Bulletin, December 1933

12 18 July 1935 Mrs. Ellen Gilligan licensee of hotel Mrs. Ellen Gilligan, licensee of Devery's Hotel pleads guilty to having in her possession for sale, whiskey which was adulterated; fined 2 pound plus other costs. 8 February 1947 Mr. Owen Devery dies in Barcaldine Hospital, aged 85. October 1947 Mr. Leo Thomas Smith and Mrs. Bridget Smith owners of Devery s Hotel Mrs. Mary Isabel Pietsch owner and Licensee of Devery's Hotel. Mrs. Pietsch changes the name of the hotel to Globe Hotel.
