4 Introduction Hotel Retail integrates into your hotel booking workflow, enabling you to quickly and easily find and book hotels for your travelers by providing all relevant hotel information summarized in one place. This allows agents to quickly target the hotels and rates they want to sell while using a booking workflow within both a terminal window and a point and click interface. Existing data can be used from the PNR to increase the speed of booking, allowing you to efficiently use Hotel Retail to drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and ultimately create more business for your agency. Download and Install Hotel Retail You can download and install Hotel Retail from the Travelport Marketplace website. From the Travelport Marketplace Website The Travelport Marketplace online platform provides an area where Travelport and 3rd party developers offer products to agencies. These products include Hotel Retail. To download products from the Travelport Marketplace website, an active ASK Travelport account is required. To create an ASK Travelport account: 1. Browse to the ASK Travelport website. 2. Press CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. 3. Enter the required information and press Create Account. Note: Hotel Retail can only be downloaded by the Agency Administrator for Travelport Marketplace. Contact your Travelport Account Representative if you do not know your Agency Administrator or do not have an Agency Administrator. If your Agency Administrator has previously downloaded Hotel Retail, then you ll be able to download a copy on the My Solutions section of the Travelport Marketplace website. To download and install Hotel Retail from Travelport Marketplace: 1. From the Travelport Marketplace Home page, select Products, Browse Products, or search for Hotel Retail (Worldspan) BETA TEST. Note: If you choose to search for Hotel Retail, you may limit your search results by Agent Productivity Tools. 2. Select the Hotel Retail link. 3. Press Order Now. 4. Accept the terms and conditions. 5. From the Purchase Success screen select, Download Now. 6. When the download bar displays, press Open. 7. Double-click the FILENAME.msi ZIP file. 8. Press Run. The Setup Wizard displays. 9. Press Next. The Select Installation Folder displays. 10. Press Next. 11. Press Confirm Installation. 12. Press Next. Hotel Retail automatically installs. 13. 5 Quick Start Hotel Retail is both feature-rich and easy to use. This Quick Start section provides instruction on how to search for and book a hotel. Subsequent sections provide details for the advanced user features. To search for and book a hotel: 1. Launch Hotel Retail from Travelport Smartpoint by initiating a hotel search. 2. Choose a property from the Hotel List. 3. Review the Rate Rules to find the rate that meets your needs and press Book. 4. Complete the Booking form. 7 Working with Hotel Retail Launch Hotel Retail After downloading and installing Hotel Retail, it can be launched from Smartpoint by using one of the following methods: Executing an HL or HA command. Executing an HLSn command, where n equals the segment number. Launching the Hotel Booking Tool from Reservations menu in Smartpoint. Searching for Hotels from the Calendar. Hovering over a sold segment, left clicking and selecting Hotel Booking Tool. Hotel Retail can be launched from either the Terminal Emulator window (green screen) or the Terminal Window (Smart Screen) in Smartpoint. Enable/Disable Hotel Retail When you start Smartpoint, Hotel Retail is enabled. To disable Hotel Retail for an entire Smartpoint login session: Note: This procedure disables Hotel Retail for that specific session. The next time Smartpoint starts, Hotel Retail will be reactivated. 1. Type #HOTELRETAILOFF 2. After successful execution of above command, Smartpoint displays following message, confirming deactivation: HOTEL RETAIL INTERFACE DISABLED To enable Hotel Retail for current session: 1. Type #HOTELRETAILON 2. After successful execution of above command, Smartpoint displays following message, confirming deactivation: HOTEL RETAIL INTERFACE ENABLED Navigation between Hotel Retail and Smartpoint There are many ways to return to Smartpoint from Hotel Retail: To toggle back and forth between applications, press Alt+Tab. To minimize the Hotel Retail window, press the Minimize icon (_) in the top right corner of the window. To return to the Hotel Retail window, press the Hotel Retail icon in the Windows task bar. To reduce the Hotel Retail window size, press the double boxes at the top right corner of the window. To access Smartpoint, use your mouse to move the window around as needed. General Representation Hotel Retail initially opens to the three-window default view. The default view displays the Hotel List, Map, and Terminal window. 8 Hotel List The Hotel List window displays results returned by the current hotel search. The window s header displays information issued from the query: For US locations: A two-letter state code, city, and the in/out dates. For all other locations: C (for country), a two-letter country code, city, and the in/out dates. General Representation The initial search results contain up to 25 properties divided on two pages. By default, the hotels are listed in order of rate. The sort order is Corporate Negotiated, Consortium, Travelport Exclusive, and Other. For reference point, address, or map based searches, the default sort order is based on distance from the requested location. The following information is provided for each hotel in the list: Line number Hotel name Phone number, by hovering over the phone icon to the right of the hotel name Hotel address Northstar Travel Media (NTM) Rating. Hover the mouse over the NTM star rating to display the AAA rating, TripAdvisor rating, and the number of TripAdvisor reviews. To display the five most recent reviews, press the TripAdvisor review number. 9 Other Three-letter currency code below each rate If no rates are available for a property in the hotel list, For more information, refer to Initiate a new search from the Hotel List. displays in the rate columns. Sort Order and Filters You can sort the hotel list or reduce the number of hotels in the list by applying a filter. 10 Press one of the above column headings. This highlights the column heading indicating that the list is being sorted based on that heading. To sort the list from lowest to highest, ensure the triangle at the bottom right of the highlighted heading is pointing up. To sort the list from highest to lowest, ensure the triangle at the bottom right of the highlighted heading is pointing down. To filter results by: Available hotels Free high-speed internet Free breakfast Airport shuttle To activate/deactivate the available hotels, free high speed internet, airport shuttle amenity, and free breakfast filters, press the respective icons. Active filters are highlighted. You may also filter by: Specific text entered in the Search field. To activate/deactivate the Search field, press. The search is performed within Hotel Names & Hotel Addresses. Maximum distance from requested location. User may select a value up to 5 from the drop-down menu to limit the search results, or type a value up to 99 directly into the field. Maximum distance can be displayed in either miles or kilometers by selecting the appropriate value in drop-down list Hotel brand group or hotel chain. To activate/deactivate the Hotel Chain drop-down menu, press. You can also search for hotels by selecting the Chain filter drop-down and typing text in the text box. After typing, the chain and brand options will be filtered down to matching results. You can use the mouse to select the desired chain or brand or hit enter to select the remaining result(s). Hotel Retail uses the currency of the SID (Subscriber Identification) to display rates in the Hotel List and Detail Rates. If the currency of the SID and the local currency of the hotel differ, a message will display in the Terminal window of HOTEL RATES IN CONVERTED CURRENCY ARE NOT GUARANTEED. Guaranteed currency rate can be found under the Rate Breakdown on the Rate Rules tab. To change the currency type in the Hotel List and Detail Rates, select a value from. 11 Or For individual property, execute the HAx/E-nnn in the Smartpoint terminal, where x = the Hotel List line number and nnn = the currency code. This will display rates for hotel x in currency nnn. You can return to the default currency by entering the HAx/E command. Include Negotiated Rates Hotel Retail allows you to add frequently used negotiated rate codes to the agency profile (Level 1 World File), and business profiles (Level 2 World Files). Additionally, Hotel Retail can read settings from the Hotel Default Record. You no longer need to include these in your hotel availability search requests. You can use any available line number in the Level 1 or Level 2 World File. Include multiple three-letter Plan Codes (PCs) by separating each code with a slash (/). There is no limit to the number of PCs that can be added to the Level 1 or Level 2 World File; however, it may take longer for Hotel Retail to populate when several PCs are included in a single request. Master Plan Codes can also be added to the Level 1 or Level 2 World File. Note: Hotel Retail can also read Plan Codes and the Master Plan Code from the Hotel Default Record. Include Negotiated Rates in the Level 1 World File To include corporate negotiated rates or consortium rates in every hotel availability search, add the rates to the Level 1 World File using the following formats: Corporate Negotiated Rates: 007N( H(5/HOTEL PREF/GXX/IXX Consortium Rates: 006N( H(5/CONSORTIA PREF/TXX/TYY After adding the entries to the Level 1 World File, the Plan Codes are included with each hotel search request. Each Plan Code listed in the HOTEL PREF line displays in the Corporate Negotiated column of the Hotel List. Each Plan Code listed in the CONSORITA PREF line displays in the Consortium Rate column of the Hotel List. Include Negotiated Rates in the Level 2 World File To include corporate negotiated rates in every hotel availability search for travelers from a specific corporation, add the rates to the Level 2 World File using the same formats shown in the Include negotiated rates in the Worldfile level 1 section. After adding the entries to the Level 2 World File, when that World File has been moved over into a PNR - either at the Level 2 World File or Level 3 World File level - the Plan Codes are included with each hotel availability search request while that PNR is active. Each Plan Code listed in the HOTEL PREF line displays in the Corporate Negotiated column of the Hotel List. Frequent Guest Exclusive Rates Frequent Guest Exclusive rates, when offered by a hotel, will be included in the Other Rate column of the Hotel List and are indicated in the Detail Rates section as Frequent Guest in the Rate Type column. 12 some chains these may be requested automatically. Some hotels may make Frequent Guest Exclusive rates available in the GDS by using a specific plan code. You can search for a Frequent Guest Exclusive plan code by using one of the following formats: Add the following line to your Level 1 World File: 008N( H(5/FREQUENT GUEST PREF/[ABC HOTEL]/[ABC]/[XX] [ABC HOTEL] = hotel name [ABC] = plan code [XX] = chain or brand code (Note: the line # can be any line number) Add the plan code to your hotel availability request with the /PC- modifier Navigation within the Hotel List To navigate within the hotel search results list, the navigation panel can be used. It is located in the bottom right of the Hotel List window: To switch next or previous page, press. To switch to a page directly, enter the page number in the white box and press enter:. To switch to the first page, use double arrow button:. To switch to the last page, use double arrow button, pointing down:. To place the cursor in the Search field, type CTRL+F. To retrieve more results, press the Load More link at the bottom of the last page of results. New properties are added to the search results in the current sort order. The indicator displays below the line number. You can select if the newly loaded hotels should be sorted with the previous results, or displayed by themselves. This can be set via a checkbox labeled "Show new hotels only" and it is selected by default. Hotel Retail User Guide - Worldspan (V8 October 2017) Page 12

13 Initiate a New Search from the Hotel List To initiate a new search from within Hotel Retail, press located at the bottom of the Hotel List. This action minimizes Hotel Retail and returns you to Smartpoint. To initiate a new search based on an unavailable hotel s location, press. Your previous search s dates, number of people, Plan Codes and Rate Plans are automatically applied to the new search. Map and Geo-Location Search The Map window allows you to visualize where the properties are located geographically. General Representation The Map displays all listed hotels; available as green or unavailable as red pins. The number within each green pin represents the row number in the Hotel List. To select a hotel, select the line item from the Hotel List, or select the related pin on the Map. The red target represents the requested location. 14 Navigation within the Map Window All controls used for standard maps are supported within the Map window. Use the keyboard and mouse to zoom in/out and move the Map in any direction. To move the cursor into the Map Location field, type CTRL+L. Search for a New Hotel in the Map Window There are several ways to perform a new search from the Map window: Enter a discrete location in the Map Location field and press Enter. Right click on the map and select NEW SEARCH FROM HERE. If the location is found, the Hotel List refreshes with related results. If the location is not found, suggestions for entering better search criteria will display. Enter a location in the Map Location field and select a location from the drop-down menu. 15 Map Pin Tool Tip Hovering over any pin on the map will display a tool tip with following information: Hotel Name Full Address «From» rate & Star Rating Top Amenities Left-clicking on the pop-up will open the Detail Rates window and the Information window (same as clicking on the pin). You can select any hotel in the list and still be able to hover over any other pin. A right click on a hotel pin will bring up the "Directions From" and "Directions To" menu. Selecting either "From" or "To" puts the address of the hotel from the pin in the From or To field. Driving Directions You can access driving directions between two points within the Map window by clicking the Directions button: Hotel Retail User Guide - Worldspan (V8 October 2017) Page 15

16 Setting From and To locations After clicking the Directions button, the map will display points for route planning. The From field ( ) is set to the point of reference location marker, and the To field ( ) contains the address of the selected hotel. It is possible to reverse route direction using the button, located to the right of the driving directions fields. Location entries can be amended by positioning the cursor at other places on the map and right clicking. Hotel Retail displays a menu with options to select Directions from or Directions to. Once an option is selected, the proper field is modified and the route is recalculated immediately. Hotel Retail User Guide - Worldspan (V8 October 2017) Page 16

17 Left clicking on a different hotel while the route is displayed selects the specified hotel without updating the driving directions. It is also possible to set a location manually. After entering a few characters, Hotel Retail suggests matching entries so that a location can be selected by clicking on it. Finding a Route The Go button ( ) triggers route searching. After a successful operation, Hotel Retail displays both points and the route on the map. Hotel Retail User Guide - Worldspan (V8 October 2017) Page 17

18 The exiting arrow button ( ) reveals the field that shows the map URL with points and directions. This URL can be copied either by pressing the copy map to clipboard button ( URL and copying the link. ) or by highlighting the Once the map URL is in the clipboard, it can be sent to a customer. 19 The Cancel button ( ) closes the driving directions and displays the Map window. Detail Rates Window After selecting a hotel from the Hotel List, the Detail Rates window displays the list of available rates. General Representation The window header displays the name and address of the selected hotel. By default, the rates are listed in order of Rate Type. The sort order is Corporate Negotiated, Consortium, Travelport Exclusive, Frequent Guest, and Other. Travelport Exclusive rates is a new program that allow Travelport agencies access to exclusive hotel rates. These rates are available in a limited number of locations initially. As the program expands, other cities will be incorporated. If Travelport Exclusive rates exist, If a hotel offers Frequent Guest rates, Each line item includes: displays in the Rate Type column. displays in the Rate Type column. Or In the terminal window, execute the HAx/E-nnn command, where x is the row number from the Hotel List. This will display rates for hotel x in currency nnn. If the rate varies throughout the duration of the dates searched, the rate is displayed followed To close the Detail Rates window, press X located at the top right corner of the window. Sort Order and Filter You can sort the list of rates or reduce the number of rates shown in the list by applying a filter. To sort the rates by: Rate type Rate Approximate total Select one of the above column headings. This action highlights the column heading indicating that the list is being sorted based on that heading. When rates are resorted, the first rate in the list will automatically be selected. To sort the list from lowest to highest, ensure the triangle at the bottom right of the highlighted heading is pointing up. To sort the list from highest to lowest, ensure the triangle at the bottom right of the highlighted heading is pointing down. 21 To activate/deactivate the free breakfast, non-smoking, and non-refundable filters, press the respective icons. Active filters are highlighted. You may also filter by: Specific text entered in the Search field. To activate/deactivate the Search field, press. Navigation within Detail Rates If there are more rates in the database than are displayed initially, you may display additional rates for a hotel by pressing located at the bottom of the Detail Rates section. Information Window When a property is selected from the Hotel List, the Information Window displays additional information for the selected Hotel or Rate. Initially, the Rules tab is displayed. 23 Amenities Tab The Amenities tab displays information about available amenities for the selected property. When a property is selected from the Hotel List, the Amenities tab displays by default. The top six most popular amenities display first: All other amenities are listed below the top six. Details Tab The Details tab can be selected by point and click, or by using the HD[x] command, where [x] is the desired line number. Specific Hotel Details can be accessed by clicking on the blue link for each item, or by typing HD*[x], where [x] is the desired line number, or HD*[xxxx], where [xxxx] is the keyword. On larger screen resolutions, photos are replaced by content after an item is selected. Hotel Retail User Guide - Worldspan (V8 October 2017) Page 23

24 All non-visited items are bold by default. When an item is selected and showing, it is bold green. When an item has been visited previously it is blue, not bold. The Return to Photos link closes the displayed section and shows Photos. On smaller resolutions, the selected item is displayed in the same window. Click Return to Hotel Details Index to return to the main Hotel Details index. Photos Tab The Photos tab displays photos available for the selected Hotel. 25 On larger screen resolutions, photos are visible after selecting a hotel from the list. To navigate between pictures, select a picture from the options at the bottom of the photos window, or hover over the selected image and a white left and/or right arrow marker will appear. 26 Rules Tab The Rules tab displays rules for the selected rate. It includes the following information: Cancellation Policy Rate Breakdown Rate Description If provided by the hotel, these rules are also displayed: Check-in/check-out policy Guarantee policy Room details Other Note: You must select the hotel rate line in order to view the rules. 27 Loyalty Tab Loyalty information will display for participating brands. Participation is initially limited and will be expanding. The Loyalty tab will not be displayed for hotels not participating in this feature. Terminal Window General Representation In addition to the Point and Click interface, Hotel Retail also includes the classic Terminal window to create a new search or manipulate the displayed results. Initially, the Terminal window displays the command that was executed which launched Hotel Retail. Prepopulated Commands You can tab to the prepopulated commands displayed at the bottom of the Terminal window. Each state of Hotel Retail has a set of prepopulated commands. For example, by entering HL/NTM-3, Hotel Retail sends the previous search and replaces value of the NTM modifier to 3. When one of these modifiers has been used in the previous entry, and then added without any data (i.e., HL/NTM-), the previous value will be omitted in the updated search. General Representation of the Booking Form If Interactive World Files are active, the Booking Form will be populated with the following information: Credit Card (#, type, expiration) Corporate Discount (/CD-) Frequent Guest (/FG-) Frequent Traveler (FT-) Special Service (/SI-) Special Print (/SP-) Booking Source (/BS-) Note: These fields will also be sent on an H0 command from the Terminal window. Certain booking modifiers added to the HL command will be sent on an H0 command or populate the Hotel Booking form. These are: Credit Card (/G-) Special Service (/SI-) Frequent Traveler (/FT-) Frequent Guest (/FG-) Corporate Discount (/CD-) Name Override (/NM-) Special Print (/SP-) Tour Number (/IT-) Booking Source (/BS-) Payment types The payment types of Guarantee and Deposit are supported in the Booking form. Deposit payment type When the payment type of Deposit has been selected, the following forms of payment are available: Credit Card, Conferma New Deployment and Conferma Add Deployed Card. 31 Guarantee payment type When the payment type of Guarantee has been selected, the following forms of payment are available: Credit Card, Agency Guarantee, Conferma New Deployment and Conferma Add Deployed Card. Credit Card Form of Payment When Credit Card is selected as the Form of Payment, Hotel Retail displays the following fields Card Number information is filled using following sources: The /G- modifier on a hotel availability request (this option is marked with the CMD (for command) icon) Interactive World File data (this option is marked with the IWF (for Interactive World File) icon) Form of Payment field in the PNR (this option is marked with FOP (for Form of Payment) icon) If there is more than one credit card available from the above options, you can select a different credit card from the Card Number drop-down menu. When a credit card number is entered using the /G- modifier in the hotel availability search request, this credit card number will automatically populate the Booking form. If there is no credit card entered using Hotel Retail User Guide - Worldspan (V8 October 2017) Page 31

32 the /G- modifier in the hotel availability search request and there is a credit card in an active Interactive World File, the credit card from the Interactive World File will automatically populate the Booking form. The Credit Card number from the Form of Payment field in the PNR will never automatically populate the Booking form; it may only be selected from the drop-down menu. Agency Guarantee When Agency Guarantee is selected as the Form of Payment, the IATA/ARC number will be populated with data from the below sources in the following order: 1. /BS- modifier in the Hotel List (HL) or Hotel Availaibility (HA) command 2. /BS- field in the Agent Hotel Default Record 3. /BS- field in the Agency Hotel Default Record 4. Agency SID listed in the A.I.R. Table Any non-duplicate IATA/ARC numbers may be selected from the drop-down menu. Keep Hotel Retail open after booking The bottom of the Hotel Booking form window contains a checkbox labeled Close Hotel Retail with booking. It is enabled by default, which causes Hotel Retail to close after successfully booking. Unchecking this option causes Hotel Retail to remain open after successfully booking. This setting is retained (checked or unchecked) for the next Hotel Retail session. Traveler Information Window The Traveler Information window displays information from the unique remarks field (*U) in the PNR. Note: If no remarks are present in PNR s Notepad remarks field, the Traveler Information Window does not display. To display the Traveler Information Window over the Hotel List: 1. Choose a Hotel. 2. 33 Note: The Traveler Information Window also displays when you type a character after the H0 entry or after the H0 prefilled format in the Terminal Window. Note: Traveler Information can also be shown when Detail Rates are displayed by entering *PD, *U, *UH, *G or *FP. The Traveler Information screen will not display if none of these PNR fields are populated with data. General Representation When pressed, the buttons at the top of the window display information in the PNR data fields: *PD Passenger Data All *U Unique Remarks *UH Unique Hotel Remarks *G OSI/SSR Items *FP Form of Payment *I Itinerary - All The title bar displays names of all travelers in the PNR when a PNR is active. 34 To copy and paste (method 1): 1. To select the text in the Traveler Information window, highlight the text. 2. To copy the selected text, press Ctrl+C. 3. To paste the copied text into a sell entry or Booking form, press Ctrl+V. To copy and paste (method 2): 1. To select the text in the Traveler Information window, highlight the text. 2. Right-click on the selected text and select Copy from the menu. 3. To paste the copied text into a sell entry or Booking form, right-click and select Paste from the menu. You can place selected text into a specific field in the Booking form using the Send To option: 1. To select the text in the Traveler Information window, highlight the text. 2. Right-click on the selected text and select Send To from the menu. 3. Select a Booking form field from the sub-menu. Form of Payment Shortcut If the form of payment in the PNR is a credit card, you can use this form of payment for the hotel guarantee or deposit by following the steps below: Hotel Retail User Guide - Worldspan (V8 October 2017) Page 34

35 1. After the H0 entry, type /G-CC 2. Press Enter. The credit card in the Form of Payment field populates into the sell entry. You can continue to add qualifiers to the sell entry, or press Enter to send the sell command. Note: The /G-CC form of payment shortcut may be used in conjunction with Interactive World Files. When used together, the /G-CC form of payment will override the form of payment in the Interactive World File, but all other Interactive World File data is used. Booking Confirmation After booking the hotel, Hotel Retail closes and you will return to your normal workflow in Smartpoint. If you have unselected Close Hotel Retail on booking, Hotel Retail will remain open and will need to be minimized in order to return to Smartpoint. Additionally, if you have modified the Hotel Retail windows layout or selected/unselected the show non-refundable rates filter in the Detail Rates window, these settings will also be retained for your next Hotel Retail session. Hotel Retail Version Number The version number can be accessed by clicking on the question mark icon in the title bar and selecting About. A pop-up window opens and detailed information about the Hotel Retail version is displayed. Terms and Definitions PNR Passenger Name Record Also known as a booking file, the passenger name record is at the heart of any travel itinerary. 36 Rate Types including: their name, phone numbers for contact, birth date, and any other information needed for travel. Corporate Negotiated Negotiated between a company and a hotel chain. However, only specific Travel Agencies can book these rates and access is typically granted by PCC or IATA. Consortium Rates available to agencies belonging to an agency consortium, such as THOR. Travelport Exclusive Rates that Travelport has negotiated directly with the hotel that contain at least one element exclusive to Travelport, whether that be a lower price or some benefit or attribute not available through other channels. These rates are available to all agencies globally, although the agencies who will benefit the most at the present time are those who book a lot of hotels in the UK or across major European cities as these are primarily where currently participating hotels are based. This will grow over time as we expand the program globally Other All other rates that are returned from a search. The rate shown in the hotel list is the lowest of those rates. Public rates are shown in this category, as well as other Rate Categories such as AAA, Military, Government, etc. SID Subscriber Identification Identifier for a sub-entity of an agency. Subscriber IDs represent a way for dealing with location; they represent and identity under with a travel agent can perform a booking on one or more core transaction systems within Travelport. Troubleshooting Guide Issue Resolution or Workaround Issue Category The Hotel Retail installation process stalls and is unable to complete In this case, the installer is unable to close the Filter Agent or Internet Explorer. First, manually close the filter agent and Internet Explorer, then restart the installation process. Install Hotel Retail doesn t launch when using HL/HA command or Hotel Booking Tool After Hotel Retail is installed, Internet Explorer must be restarted. Close the browser and open it again. 37 Hotel Retail still doesn t launch when using HL/HA command or Hotel Booking Tool (after Internet Explorer Restart) Hotel Retail doesn t launch after Filter Agent and Internet Explorer restart Hotel Retail still does not launch after Filter Agent Worldspan restart and Internet Explorer restart Close Internet Explorer, go to the Windows system tray (bottom-right corner of desktop), click the up arrow, and find the blue box with a small red box inside. Hover over it and it will say Filter Agent Right click on it and select "Close Filter Agent Then, navigate to the C:\wspan\swgw folder on the disk, run FilterAgent.exe application, and launch Internet Explorer again. This case is valid only if the option Install to Current User was chosen during installation. Press <Win>+<R> hotkey, type regedit and press <Enter>. Navigate in 64-bit Windows to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432 Node\WORLDSPAN\OpenAPI\WSClient\GoRes\ FILTERS node or in 32-bit Windows to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WORLDSP AN\OpenAPI\WSClient\GoRes\FILTERS node. If there are some sub-nodes in FILTERS node, reinstall Hotel Retail for all users. Navigate to folder C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Tr avelport.messageexchange on disk (%USERNAME% is login on your computer) and check that there is a file TMC.GUI.TcpMessageExchangeConfigurations. xml file with this content: <?xml version="1.0"?> <MessageBusEndpoints xmlns:xsd=" ema" xmlns:xsi=" ma-instance"> <GdListenerPlugin host="localhost" port="33000"/> <TmcGui host="localhost" port="33001"/> <WorldSpan host="localhost" port="33002"/> <TmcGuiWorldSpan host="localhost" port="1193"/> </MessageBusEndpoints> Install Install Install If not, manually create this folder and this file. 38 Hotel Retail still does not launch after previous steps All files from previous step are present and Hotel Retail still does not launch Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\travelport\hotel Retail Worldspan folder (C:\Program Files\Travelport\Hotel Retail Worldspan in 32-bit systems). Check that there are a lot of.dll files, Travelport.WorldSpan.DesktopApp.exe file, and Filter folder. Filter folder contains.dll files as well, Travelport.WorldSpan.HotelRetailFilter.tlb file, and settings.json. If some files are missing, uninstall and install application. Open C:\Program Files (x86)\travelport\hotel Retail Worldspan\Filter\settings.json file and check that these lines are present: "DesktopAppName": "Travelport.WorldSpan.DesktopApp.exe", "DesktopAppFolder": "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\travelport\\hotel Retail Worldspan", Install Install Previous steps passed and Hotel Retail still does not launch Check that "DesktopAppFolder" parameter contains exact folder where "Travelport.WorldSpan.DesktopApp.exe" file is located. If not, change them manually (note: folders should be separated by \\) 64-bit Windows only. Press <Win>+<R> hotkey, type regedit and press <Enter>. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432 Node\WORLDSPAN\OpenAPI\WSClient\GoRes\ FILTERS node. Verify that all sub-nodes are in numeric order starting from 1 (1, 2, 3, ; can be only 1). If not, rename these sub-nodes so they become 1, 2, Install User receives the error Could not load file or assembly 'System.Threading.Tasks, Version= , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference... The Hotel Retail requires an update to the Microsoft.NET Framework. Please download and install the following update from Microsoft: Microsoft.NET Framework 4 KB by clicking here. When completed, please launch the installer again. 39 After the installer has launched, an error immediately appears that the installation has been cancelled due to an error The Hotel Retail requires an update to the Microsoft.NET Framework. Please download and install the following update from Microsoft: Microsoft.NET Framework 4 KB by clicking here. Install When completed, please launch the installer again. During installation, a message appears that Filter API is not installed and installation is aborted Note: This is unusual as the update is from 2010 and should already be on the system. Run command prompt as administrator: Search for Command Prompt in the Start Menu Right click on it and choose Run as administrator Install Corporate negotiated and consortium rates do not appear in Hotel Retail User receives the message Timeout when trying to book a room Navigate to the folder where the installer is located using the command cd folder_name, and run command msiexec /i name_of_msi_file. Make sure that there is not a current World File being edited. To check this, type G* in Worldspan and if the FINISH OR IGNORE WORLD FILE message appears, type G*I to ignore the changes or G*E to apply them. Then, initiate a new search in Hotel Retail. Restart Internet Explorer and Filter Agent (see 2 nd row above for instructions on how to restart the Filter Agent). World Files Booking Splash screen freezes during Hotel Retail launch at message reading Travelport Redefining travel commerce User receives the message that Travelport.WorldSpan.DesktopApp.exe stopped working and Hotel Retail does not launch after new search If the blue splash screen with the text Travelport Redefining travel commerce freezes, enter Alt+F4 to close the splash screen and then re-enter the command to launch Hotel Retail. 40 Application worked normally and occasionally stopped launching, and #HOTELRETAILON command returns CK ACT CODE Hotel Retail shows data from old rate plan codes after they were changed in the Hotel Default table or after Master Plan Codes were changed Restart Internet Explorer and Filter Agent (see 2 nd row with instructions to restart Filter Agent). Hotel Retail caches data retrieved from the Hotel Default table and Master Plan Code information. To refresh the cache, restart Hotel Retail and Internet Explorer. Application Application After installation, user is unable to turn Hotel Retail off, and user is using the SWAPP plugin. Plugins must be uninstalled and installed in the appropriate order. 1.
