1 THE 2 nd CELEBES INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL NOVEMBER LOSARI BEACH- MAKASSAR, SOUTH OF SULAWESI INDONESIA INFORMATION BULLETIN NO. 1 To: All Dragon Boat Associations and Club Crews, GREETINGS FROM MAKASSAR, SOUTH OF SULAWESI, INDONESIA Introduction Makassar City, Indonesia Traditional Costum of Makassar Traditional Dancer of Makassar Uniquely Makassar (Tana Toraja) The Location Losari Beaches is location the 2 nd Celebes International Dragon Boat Festival 2013 Makassar is the capital and largest city of Sulawesi (Celebes) Islands, Indonesia. It is located on the southern coast (Makassar Straight ) of an area of square 175,77 kilometres (67.90 sq mil) and a population of up to 1,500,000 people at the 2011 years. And Losari Beach is located right in the City Centre of Makassar Indonesia, Being an original beaches it focuses on the concept of a recreational park bringing an image for its uniqueness and paradise.. Places of interest located near to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, The Icon of Makasar likes Pantai Losari and Lapangan Karebosi, Foods & Restaurant palaces, South Sulawesi's Governor Office, Cultures and Tourism of South Sulawesi Offices, Kalla s Building, Museum Complex, Shopping Centres and Plaza, Hotel, Convention Centre, Bank, ATM 24 hours, Cultures of Parks, Souvenir Shop, Taxi and hundreds of other beautiful places. Lying amidst the surrounding of Losari Beach & Tanjung Bunga s is a recreational public park equipped with jogging track, soccer game, swimming, children s playground and other outdoor activities. The Organizing Committee of the 2 nd Celebes International Dragon Boat Race Festival 2013 (Celebes IDBF - Organizing Committee) wish to invite you to participate in the Celebes International Dragon Boat Race Festival, 2013 from November 08 th to 10 th, 2013 to be held at Losari Beach Makassar Southern Sulawesi Indonesia Competiting crews are encouraged to arrive in Makassar City not later than, November 06 and 07, 2013.

2 Competition Classes and Distances The Racing Classes that will be contested are listed below at the provisional entry form provided sufficient entries are received for each competition class. A minimum of five entries from different organisations are required per competition class. Rules and Regulations The 2 nd Celebes International Dragon Boat Race Festival 2013 will be conducted under the PODSI and IDBF Competition Regulations and Rules of Racing, Copies of which will be forwarded to crews who return completed Named Entries. Information Bulletins will be published to confirm crew entries at a later date. Entries Open to all Dragon Boat Teams. The following table sets out the deadlines for entries and fees: Action or Documentation Required Dateline Provisional Entry (ATTACHED TO THIS INFORMATION BULLETIN), September 15 th 2013 Hosting Confirmation with submission of entry forms by Full Hosting to All international teams for 4 days September 15 th 2013 and 3 night free accommodation with breakfast, airport transfer and transportation to venue and back to Hotel as well as packed lunch. ** Named Entries September 15 th 2013 Any crew submitting a late Named Entry cannot be guaranteed an entry if the race programme has been completed. You are advised to confirm early. PRIZES Organizing Comitte will be provided Cash Prizes, about est.. Totally USD 10, plus Trophies, Certificates and Medals Entry Fee Entry Fees Payment US$ /team (one payment before Sept 15, 2013 and Valid to All races), Photographs All crews are required to submit one passport-sized (4cm x 6cm) photographs of all competitors, coaches and managers. It is important to note that each picture clearly identify the name and crew of the person. All team leaders can use the photo submission forms for their crew lists. Accreditation tags will be given during team managers meeting. Race Day Lunches/Dinner Dinner will be available to all teams on competition days. Prices USD 5.00/Pax/day

The above programme is provisional and is provided to assist crews with their initial planning. The programme is subject to change. The competition classes by day will be confirmed after all Numerative Entries have been received. Accommodation Packages The Organizing Committee has made arrangements for accommodational, a two to five-star hotel like Sahid Jaya Hotel, Grand Clarion Hotel & Convention Makassar, Singgasana Hotel, Aston The Apartel, Santika Hotel, Grand Palace, Losari Beach Inn etc. The official event accommodation is just 05 to 10 minute from the race course by car or bus. Transportation: 1.1. Airport Shuttle Services: The Organizing Committee has made available bus transportation from Sultan Hassanuddin International Airport to official event hotel and return to the airport at the conclusion of the event. In order to take advantage of this service, it will be necessary for all (or a significant majority) of crew members and their guests to arrive and depart at the same time and stay at the official event hotel. This service is not available where crew members are arriving or departing at significantly different times on the same day or on different days. Additional transportation charges will be charged for any request beyond the hosted package Transfer To Race Venue: The Organizing Committee has made available bus transportation for crews and their registered guests to and from official event hotels and the race venue for one practice day and race days. Welcome Dinner A Welcome Dinner will be held on Friday, November 08 st at the House of Mayor City in Makassar. More details will be published in a future Information Bulletin.
