10 ABOUT VICTORIAN CULTURAL ASSOCIATION (VCA) VCA is a not-for-profit organisa on; started the tradi on of organising Wyndham Holi (Fes val of Colors) since 2015 and con nued every year by bringing new and innova ve things for all age groups through this fes val to cater wider communi es to come and celebrate and be part of the cultural diversity. Importantly, through this fes val VCA support Werribee Mercy Hospital (Mercy Health Founda on) in raising funds for their charity and increase awareness to support local charity organisa ons. The main objec ve of the Wyndham Holi event is to spread the message of peace and harmony, celebrate through the vibrant colors of the fes val and present an exquisite picture of mul -cultural Australia. The term Holi is also referred as Fes val of Sharing Love and Happiness. Through the Wyndham Holi pla orm, VCA Team leading from the front (since 2015) started engaging wider and diverse community and local organisa ons to promote the importance of community strengthening & engagement (cohesion) that brings huge benefits as well to support the overall local and state mul cultural and diversity policies and strategies. Today the Fes val of Colors is one of the most par cipated event worldwide by diverse communi es which brings people of all backgrounds and age groups (Kids, Adults, Singles, Families and Elders) and ethnic backgrounds to join together and celebrate.

11 VCA is all about Team and not about certain Individuals. Through this philosophy and effec ve engagement models, VCA has set a new benchmark and contributes immensely to the Wyndham Community and to the larger Melbourne community; who shall con nue to bring new innova ve ideas through ongoing community inputs and promote benefits of Community Stregenthening and Mul culrual Australia. VCA Wyndham Holi has more than 80 community working members from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Today VCA Wyndham Holi pla orm a racts more than 15K plus crowds with diverse backgrounds and strengthens the community. It is the only pla orm where all audiences (with all age groups) ac vely par cipate and enjoy. It is the only community free entry event through which funds are raised to support local charity organisa ons. We donated AUD $2K to Mercy Founda on as part of last year 2016 fundraising. Wyndham Holi pla orm is suppor ng and promo ng the local and state government strategies of Cultural Diversity and Mul cultural Australia. Suppor ng other community organisa ons in building new working rela onships and building trust partnerships to promote culture/diversity and celebrate different cultural backgrounds. We are delighted to share our next year celebra on event which is th to be held on Sunday 12 March 2017.
