1 CHU CHI TUNNELS Vietnam is a beautiful country renowned for its picturesque countryside, delicious food and friendly people but it is also a country that has suffered from many years of conflict where many foreign soldiers and locals lost their lives. In Ho Chi Minh city Chris visits the War Remnants Museum before heading up the Saigon River to enter the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, a complex system of 250klms of different tunnels that were used to provide living quarters, communications, supplies, hospitals, food and weapons for the guerilla fighters during numerous Vietnam conflicts, including the Vietnam war. It s an experience completely different to anything that Chris has had before and one that will remain with him for a lifetime.
