Electricity 230V 50Hz Time There is no time difference between China and Bali, Lombok, Gili Islands or Sumba Island. China is 1 hour ahead of Bintan Island. Currency The Indonesian rupiah (IDR) is the official currency. ATMs are widely available throughout Bali, and foreign currency can be changed at banks and hotels. Major credit cards are widely accepted. When travelling to smaller islands in Indonesia, ATMs can be limited so travel with local currency. Language Bahasa Indonesian is the official language of Indonesia. Most Indonesians today speak at least two languages, Bahasa Indonesia and their local language, of which Indonesia counts more than 300 regional languages. 2 When to go Being a tropical destination, there are basically two seasons in Bali: the wet season and the dry season. The dry season offers the best weather running from June to September sunny days and cool pleasant evenings, but it also attracts the highest prices for accommodation and flights. The best accommodation deals can be found during the wet season from October to May, but remember to take your tropicalstrength insect repellent and umbrella especially during the months of December through to February which have the highest rainfall.
