SELFIE TRAIL Visitor Center TRAIN STATION One E. Route The historic train station, built in 9, was formally the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad depot.

) Coconino County COURTHOUSE 00 N. San Francisco St. The Coconino County Courthouse was built in 894 after the creation of Coconino County in 89.

Today it doubles as the Amtrak station and Visitor Center where travelers can find information about the area, purchase souvenirs and get insider travel tips. (By the light post on the west side of the platform near the black fence.) HOTEL MONTE VISTA DOWNTOWN 00 N. San Francisco St. Built in 9, the Hotel Monte Vista is one of s premier historic hotels playing host to visitors from around the world. Celebrities like John Wayne, Anthony Hopkins and Bing Crosby have stayed in this iconic hotel. John Wayne claims to have seen the Phantom Bellboy, one of many hotel guests who never checked out. (Across the street under the clock on the southwest corner.) Coconino County COURTHOUSE 00 N. San Francisco St. The Coconino County Courthouse was built in 894 after the creation of Coconino County in 89. The original sandstone brick courthouse still stands; however, from 95 to 979 modern additions were added creating the larger building seen today. The courthouse is one of the oldest buildings still standing in. (Northeast corner of Birch Ave. and San Francisco St., near the telephone booth.) Weatherford HOTEL N. Leroux St. In 900 the Weatherford Hotel opened its doors to the public. Built and founded by John Weatherford, the hotel has become one of s most iconic buildings. Aspen Ave The Orpheum Theater, s first movie house, opened in 97 after the original building on this sight collapsed during a heavy snowfall in 95. It showed movies until the late 990s but in 00 the theater was renovated to be used as a concert and performing arts venue, where you can still catch the occasional movie screening. MOTEL DUBEAU CLASSIC ROUTE MOTEL 9 W. Phoenix Ave. This corner was on the original 90s alignment of Route, which is why Mr. A. E. DuBeau found it to be the perfect spot to build his Motel Inn in 99. The property was designed for the better class of motorist and featured in-room baths and heated garages. (Across the street on the north side of Aspen Ave. in front of Pay & Take.) (Northwest corner of Beaver St. and Phoenix Ave., near the parking area.)

Granny s Closet LUMBERJACK STATUE 8 S. Milton Rd. This location, originally the Lumberjack Caf, was once guarded by a foot tall fiberglass lumberjack.

Northern Arizona University OLD MAIN BUILDING W. McMullen Circle Old Main was the first building constructed for the Northern Arizona Normal School which opened its doors in 899 to students.

3 Granny s Closet LUMBERJACK STATUE 8 S. Milton Rd. This location, originally the Lumberjack Caf, was once guarded by a foot tall fiberglass lumberjack. The statue was the first of many like it called Muffler Men which were used as quirky roadside advertising. Today the original Lumberjack has been moved to the Northern Arizona University Skydome. Northern Arizona University OLD MAIN BUILDING W. McMullen Circle Old Main was the first building constructed for the Northern Arizona Normal School which opened its doors in 899 to students. Eventually changing its name to Northern Arizona University, the University now serves 5,000 students at 0 statewide locations. 7 8 (Just in front of the lumberjack near the parking lot.) THE MUSEUM OF NORTHERN ARIZONA 0 N. Fort Valley Rd. The 00-acre Museum of Northern Arizona is home to research labs, collection facilities and an exhibition building. Today The Museum Club is home to rising country music stars and the new sounds of Nashville. The club operates as a restaurant, bar, concert venue and country dance club.
