This afternoon you are free to explore Savannah s National Historic Landmark District (the largest in the US) or to take an optional carriage ride around town. Lunch on your own. The afternoon is yours to further explore the places you d like to visit or revisit. Dinner on your own at one of the many fabulous restaurants in Savannah this evening. Known for its lovely small-town antebellum homes, we ll step back in time with a leisurely stroll around the Old Point neighborhood. Delight in the perfume of the Confederate jasmine and Magnolias, walk amidst live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. Travel to Charleston for a fun-filled gospel brunch at one of the city s most famous restaurants. 4 DAY 7 : Monday, April 30 - Charleston A tour of the Old South wouldn t be complete without a visit to an old plantation. Magnolia, a former rice plantation along the Ashley River will delight you with it s history and beauty. Magnolia is the only plantation on the Ashley River surviving both the American Revolution and the Civil War dating back to It is also known as America s most beautiful garden. Our knowledgeable and professional local guide will transport us back in time. Lunch on your own at the plantation s Peacock Café. Afternoon is free to shop and explore historical downtown Charleston. Say Farewell to the Old South group dinner at one of the best restaurants in Charleston, Anson Place.
