8 Wendy Sia, Director of Sales and Marketing Singaporean possess an experienced and outstanding record of leading sales and marketing teams in top hotels. Since joining the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts family in 2004, Ms Sia has held sales and marketing positions at Shangri-La s regional sales office in Singapore. Prior to joining Shangri-La Hotel, Xian, she was director of sales and marketing at the group s Guangzhou regional sales office, spearheading the businesses from South China market. Fabrizio Aceti, Executive Chef An Italian culinary artist, Chef Fabrizio became Shangri-La Hotel, Xian s executive chef in April He was previously executive chef of Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Starting his career at the age of 16, Chef Fabrizio brings international expertise to Shangri-La Hotel, Xian, having learned a variety of cuisines and methodologies while training and working for hotels and restaurants in France, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Chau Oi Fong, Chinese Executive Chef To prepare every dish like I am cooking for my own family. Chef Chau is a tremendous culinary artist from Hong Kong who has most recently been awarded the coveted title of Master Chef of Chinese Cuisine. Chef Chau comes from Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing, where he has administrated a brigade of 53 cooks and chefs the last 7 years. He describes his cooking as a tireless pursuit for culinary innovation through creative use of raw materials. 9 Penny Wang, Tour Manager Penny, a native of Xian, is the hotel s tour manager. Penny has been working as a licensed tour guide in Xian for more than 15 years and has experience conducting tours for visitors from all over the world. She is a graduate of the Xian Foreign Language University with a degree in tourism. Penny has a passion for guiding and to her nothing can be more challenging and satisfying than being a guide, which will make your trip truly memorable. About Xian Xian, the capital of Shaanxi province, was known in ancient times as Chang an, and 13 dynasties made the city their capital.
