Visa and Master Card are accepted in most shops, hotels, restaurants, railway and bus stations. Shops are generally open 10:00 19:00 on weekdays and from 9:00-17:00 on Saturdays. All documents will be in English. There will be no simultaneous translation. A book of abstracts and programme for each conference will be made available online towards the end of September and a printed version will be distributed at the conference together with the list of participants. 6

7 The proceedings will be printed and sent to each participant after the conference. SOCIAL EVENTS On Monday 14 October a welcome cocktail will follow the afternoon conference sessions. A conference reception will be hosted by the European Commission in the conference venue on Tuesday 15 October at 19:00hrs, together with the poster session. TECHNICAL VISIT A technical visit to Ignalina NPP will be organised on Thursday 17 October The tentative programme includes a selection from the reactor hall, turbine hall, control room, spent fuel pools, spent nuclear fuel storage facility, free-release measurement facility and Solid Waste Management and Storage Facility. Departure from Vilnius to the destination by coach will be from the Radisson Blu hotel at 06:00hrs. Return time will be around 18:00hrs in Vilnius. Important: Please note that the number of participants in technical visit is limited and if necessary the participation may be limited to one representative per organisation. Participants interested in the visit should indicate this when registering online. Participants will be informed on the outcome of their registration by the conference organisers at the end of September. SPECIAL GRANTS FOR PARTICIPANTS The Commission is supporting a limited number of participants at the Conference from the New Member State Croatia, Candidate Countries (Iceland, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Potential Candidate Countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo), non-eu FF7 Associated Countries (Faroe Island Israel, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Norway and Switzerland) as well as European Neighbourhood Policy Partner Countries (Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Tunisia and Ukraine), and Russia. The support includes direct travel costs according to the rules of the Commission and hotel accommodation during the conference, and if taking part in the technical tour, also for additional nights required.
