1 Who Am I : World War I Scattered throughout the room are statements about important people from World War I. Turn the card over to find out Who 2015 I Am. Then, write down the correct History name next the appropriate statement Gal. below. When you are done, you ll put all the information in an organizational chart. As a British officer posted in the Middle East, I played a key role in the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire. As a general, I led German troops to victory at Tannenberg. A month later, I became the commander in chief of the German land armies. As a member of the Serbian nationalist group called the Black Hand, I shot and killed Archduke Francis Ferdinand and his wife. As Germany s State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, I sent a telegram to Mexico to try to convince them to attack the United States. I abdicated in March 1917 after a revolution swept Russia.
