She graduated from the Faculty of History and Archaeology of the University of Athens (Department of Archaeology and History of

2 Art) (1995). She holds a master s degree in Classical Archaeology (1998), and a PhD in Ancient Theatre (2005) from the University of Vienna. PhD subject: Pinakes und Thyromata im antiken griechischen Theater. In the course of her post-graduate studies she worked under the supervision of Savas Gogos and Jürgen Borchhardt. As an archaeologist, she took part in various excavations in Greece and Cyprus and worked in the Hellenic Ministry of Culture (Directorate of Byzantine and Postbyzantine Monuments, Epigraphical Museum) and in the Archaeological Society at Athens. She also participated in four research programs, supervised by the Academy of Athens, the Archaeological Society at Athens, and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Theatre Studies). In 2009 she became a Lecturer in Ancient Greek Theatre at the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of the Peloponnese and in 2016 she became Assistant Professor at the same Department. She has previously taught at the University of Patras (Department of Theatre Studies, ). She is a member of the Archaeological Society at Athens. She is married and has two children. Participation in research programs: 1. Academy of Athens. Title of the international research program: Tabula Imperii Romani (2008-). Aim of this international scholarly project is the preparation of a map of the Roman Empire (composed of 56 sheets in scale 1: ). Sheet J 34 Boeotia (forthcoming) is a historical-topographical catalogue about the area of ancient Boeotia under Roman rule. The chronological range is from 150 BC to 400 AD. 2. Academy of Athens. Title of the international research program: Tabula Imperii Romani ( ). Sheet J 35 - Smyrna, I was issued in 2012, under the same international research program, and was accompanied by 44 maps with map keys; it examined the islands of the northeastern Aegean, Cyclades, the Dodecanese and Euboea. 3. The Archaeological Society at Athens. Title of the research project: "Digitization and disposal of the work of the Archaeological Society at Athens" ( ). This research program was based on writing entries for the scientific documentation of digitized photographic and excavation material from the archives of the Archaeological Society at Athens. This material comes from all the sites that the Archaeological Society has researched, in the wider area of Attica and the Peloponnese. In each entry are briefly presented the topographical data of each area, its history over the centuries and the excavations conducted there by the Archaeological Society (with reference also to any further researches of the Archaeological Service and Foreign Archaeological Schools). 2

3 Finally, particular attention is paid to the special features of each site (e.g. monuments, cemeteries, significant movable finds etc.). Each entry is followed by an extensive bibliography. 4. Title of the research program: "Bibliography - ancient sources for writing a dictionary of ancient Greek and Roman theater" (2005). Aim of the program was the writing of a dictionary that would include entries in the form of basic terms, concepts and entities of the ancient Greek and Roman theatre. The dictionary was published recently by Militos Puplications (S. Gogos - K. Petrakou, Λεξικό του αρχαίου θεάτρου.
