The construction of The Mezquita Aljama of Córdoba began in 785, when Abd-al-Rahman constituted Córdoba as the capital of Al-Andalus. Built on the base of an old church dedicated to Saint Vincent and then extended over successive periods by Abd-al-Rahman II, Al-Hakam II and Almanzor. This city is truly blessed with wonder. 18 WALKING ROUTES The King s Little Pathway Restored in March 2015, the King s Little Pathway, formerly a service road and an area visited by pasionate climbers, has now become one of the main tourist destinations in the province of Malaga. The experience offers a guided tour through a rout of 7.7 to 10 km, approximately 3 hours of enjoyment with anecdotes and history of the Natural Park of Gaitanes. 19 WHALE & DOLPHIN WATCHING A Unique and Emotional Experience At the straits of Gibraltar you will be able to spot dolphins and whales and possibly even interact with them. This expirence can be explored all year round. On the sightseeing trip you can encounter common whales, bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins and striped dolphins. From the months of April to October the sperm whales usually make an appearance, and from July and August, orcas can also be spotted. Occasionally we are lucky enough to see some common whales, some being the second largest whales after the Blue Whale. 29 RURAL ROUTES The Bull Route Every Wednesday and Saturday from the 18 th of March until October you can enjoy the visit to one of the most prestigious bull and Spanish horse breeding and raising farms in Torrestrella. The visit is suitable for all the family and starts with a nice 700 meters walk discovering the fauna and flora of the andalusian countryside while watching bulls and oxes in freedom.
