5 Aa ABBA ABBA was a Swedish pop/rock p/rock group formed in Stockholm olm in 1972, with Agnetha FältskogF ltskog, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. They won Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with Waterloo We made a list of our parents favorite ABBA songs.

The first cocoabeans were taken to Europe by Christofer Columbus in In Malmö in the south of Sweden the Mazetti factory produced cocoapowder from Marabou and Cloetta are other companies who have produced chocolate in Sweden.

8 Dd Dalarna In Sweden we have the famous Vasaloppet. This race is hold in Dalarna, a region were special wooden horses are painted as a strong symbol and at midsummer we wear special traditional clothing.

10 Ff Flag Fjällen The Swedish flag has a blue background and a yellow cross. The flag of Skåne (the south part of Sweden) has a red background and a yellow cross. The Swedish mountains are called Fjällen. In Fjällen you can go skiing, downhill and cross country, or go hiking.

11 Gg Gotland and Gotlandsruss Gotland is Sweden's largest island. The Gotland Russ/Pony is a horse breed. The pony is strong and hardy,, and can be ridden by children and small adults. The Gotland Russ is the most common breed of pony in Sweden. It is a good all round pony and is often used by riding schools.

12 Hh History The Vasa Ship is a Swedish ship that sank outside Stockolm on its maiden voyage in the ship was salvaged and they found thousands of things, and the remains of 16 people. It is now a museum. The Thirty Years' War lasted from 1618 to At that time Gustav II Adolf was king of Sweden.The main opponents of the war was the Catholic Poland. The Swedish soldiers became known in Poland as very cruel, leaving devastation behind them, it is called the great flood = POTOP (in Polish) Gustav II Adolf wears a Polish coat.

13 Ii Industry - IKEA In year 2012 there were 313 IKEA-stores in 37 countries. Ingvar Kamprad IKEA is a company that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture and home accessories. It was founded in 1943 by 17-year-old Ingvar Kamprad. The company is named after the founder's name (Ingvar Kamprad), the farm where he grew up (Elmtaryd), and his hometown (Agunnaryd, in Småland, South Sweden)

14 Jj Janssons frestelse Janssons frestelse "Jansson's temptation" is a traditional Swedish casserole made of potatoes, onion, pickled sprats, bread crumbs and cream. It is common on a Swedish Christmastable julbord, but can be eaten on other occasions as well.

15 Kk Kebnekaise Kebnekaise is Sweden's highest mountain. It has two peaks, of which South Peak is the highest with its 2102 meters above sea level. From the South Peak you can see about 1/11 of Sweden's surface.

16 Ll Literature There are many famous Swedish authors. Astrid Lindgren has written books about Pippi Longstocking, Emil and many other wellknown characters. Other famous authors are Selma Lagerföf, Elsa Beskow, Stieg Larsson, Gunilla Bergström and Hjalmar Bergman.

17 Mm Malmö and Music Malmö is the third largest city in Sweden. In Malmö you can find the famous building Turning Torso. Malmö is called the City of Parks. Loreen will represent Sweden in Eurovision song contest with her song Euphoria. Loreen

18 Nn Nature We have followed the same tree for about one year to notise changes in nature. We have also observed some of natures protected plants and animals, that we may not pick because they can be exterminated. In Swedish this law is called allemansrätten and those plats and animals we can t pick are called fridlysta.

19 Oo Ost/Cheese Västerbotten cheese is considered a must-have for the late summer Crayfish party. It adds distinctive flavour to the highly popular Västerbotten V cheese pie.

20 Pp Princess In Sweden we have monarchy. Our king is Carl XVI Gustaf. We have a crown princess named Victoria. She will inherit the throne after the king. She was born in 1977, she is 35 years old. The princess is married to Mr Daniel Westling. Victoria gave birth to a daughter in February Her name is princess Estelle

21 Rr Ronja Rövardotter R and Ronia the Robber's Daughter, Ronja RövardotterR is a children's fantasy book by Astrid Lindgren. In the book you can find a special caracter called Rumpnisse. They live in the same forest as Ronja. Rumpnissar

22 Ss Staffanstorp Staffanstorp is a village with about inhabitants. Staffanstorp has a suburban character dominated by 1- and 1½-story buildings. Staffanstorp is located in Skåne, in the south of Sweden.

23 Tt Traditions Lucia In Sweden we celebrate a lot of different traditions. In June we celebrate Midsommarafton with a feast of herring, newly grown potatoes, chives and strawberries for desert. The 13th of December we celebrate Lucia with candlelight and songs in memory of the sicilian saint Lucia.

24 Uu Universitet Uppsala University was founded in 1477 by the church. Priests were educated there. It was Sweden's first university. In Lund, there was a college already 1425th. Lunds universitet was founded in 1666.

25 Vv Volvo The two famous brands are Volvo and Saab. In 1927 the first Volvo car was produced in Gothenburg, 85 years ago Volvo cars are sold each year. The company Saab has gone bankrupt this year

26 Ww Wienerkorv A lot of Swedes like to eat sausages called wienerkorv. The sausage is often called frankfurter and comes from Vienna in Austria. A Swedish princess, Sibylla, that heritated from Germany brought the wienerkorv to Sweden. Therefore, there is a sausage factory called Sibylla in Sweden.

27 Xx Xylofon Xylofon,, (greek( greek: Xylos wood, phonē sound), is a music-instrument instrument. It has woodenpieces which makes a sound when you strike them with two or more wooden-clubs clubs. 28 Yy Ystad Ystad is a city located on the coast in the far south. There are about inhabitants. Apotekarhuset from the Saint Mary's Church was 1400s is one of the oldest consecrated in the 1200s. inhabited houses in the whole of Scandinavia.

29 Zz Zlatan Zlatan Ibrahimovic was born in 1981 in Malmö He used to play in a Malmö team MFF. Now he is 31 years old. His parents are from Bosnia and Croatia. He is known around the world for his skills. Zlatan plays in the Swedish national team and AC Milan in Italy. He is a striker.

30 Åå Åhusglass Å = stream This is an old Swedish kind of icecream.

31 Ää Ängelholm Ängelholm is in Skåne In Ängelholm there are many museums, zoo and more. In Ängelholm there are inhabitants Ängel means Angel. Ängelholms church was built in the 1700s.

32 Öö Öresundsbridge Ö = island The Öresundsbridge connects Denmark and Sweden and is the longest road and rail bridge in Europe. The construction began in 1995, and was finished 14 August It is 15,9 kilometers long. The cost of building the bridge was about 4 billion euro.
