Our Spanish Centre of Excellence is based in Platja D Aro on the stunning Costa Brava. Situated in the heart of the Costa Brava, Platja D Aro is an up-market Spanish seaside resort with its own golden, sandy beaches, idyllic, little bays, excellent sports facilities and a superb choice of accommodation. All of our Spanish Academy Team Work tours include a full-day excursion to incredible Barcelona. Additional excursion options include a day trip to Montserrat, a day trip to Costa Dorada and the Port Aventura Theme Park, a day trip to Waterworld in Lloret De Mar, and an excursion to the Dali Museum in Figueres. Football Visions Team Work Academy can provide a creative springboard for schools and clubs, enhancing the football experience in Spain. This is a training & fixture based tour, competing against Spanish opposition in local a stadium. Available for both boys and girls. Rugby Visions Team Work Academy offers school and club groups the opportunity to play local rugby teams in Gerona and Barcelona with training facilities available. Netball Visions Team Work Academy offers school and club groups the unique opportunity to play other schools and clubs on a tournament basis with great coaching from top netball coaches from around the world. Basketball Visions Team Work Academy offers school and club groups the opportunity to play with local Spanish teams in wonderful facilities. Hockey Visions Team Work Academy offers school and club groups the chance to play against teams from Terrassa and Barcelona. Available for both boys and girls. Day 1 Dinner at hotel Travel to Spain, arriving at in the early afternoon. Upon arrival, your Visions Ambassador team will conduct an in-depth welcome, safety and orientation meeting, followed by an excellent dinner in the hotel.

3 Platja D Aro & the Costa Brava The Costa Brava is one of the main tourist destinations in northeast Spain. It is a coastline measuring more than 200kms on the coast of Girona. Localities like Cadaqués, Lloret de Mar, Castell d'aro, San Feliu de Guixols, Roses, Pals, Tossa de Mar and Palamós form part of this stunning coastal area and describe perfectly what tourism to the Mediterranean is meant to be. Since the Costa Brava borders with the Pyrenees and is close to Baqueira Beret, the possibilities of exploration are endless. The beach, rural areas and aquatic activities are the area s most important heritage and the reason why millions of tourists come annually to this region. The Costa Brava has many sporting facilities which are second to none for all the sports on offer. Here you can have tons of fun while enjoying endless activities in the outdoors, dry land or in the ocean. Sample Hotel: Hotel Aromar Located directly on the beach in a quiet residential area, Hotel Aromar is the perfect base for Visions groups. Hotel Aromar is a three-star hotel property where guests may enjoy a quiet beachfront location, yet it is within a 10-minute walk of the town centre. All rooms are spacious and are complete with bathroom, satellite television and balcony. On-site facilities include a swimming pool, barcafeteria, air-conditioned restaurant, television room and pool tables. An extensive range of all-you-can-eat buffet is served to suit all appetites.

4 Sample Hotel: Aparthotel Comtat Sant Jordi Located only 500 feet from the sandy beach and just over half a mile from the town centre, the Sant Jordi is a firm favourite with Visions groups, having all the advantages of staying in an apartment complex. All rooms are fullyequipped with a kitchen area, living/dining room, double pull-out couch, satellite television, air-conditioning and heating and a balcony. Rooms sleep four to six students. Other facilities include a swimming pool, market, snack bar, restaurant and games room. Tonight, Visions groups will enjoy a wonderful dinner at the hotel to kick-start our tour. Day 2 Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Good morning Spain. After a leisurely breakfast, we ll embark upon our first sessions. Football, Rugby, Hockey & Basketball will go training. Netballers will have coaching & Master Classes with their netball coaches. Training & coaching - After a buffet lunch at the hotel, students will embark on further training & fixtures.

5 After training/coaching and fixtures we ll be able to enjoy a brilliant dinner in the hotel. This will be followed by our famous Sports Quiz event with great prizes. Day 3 Breakfast, Packed Lunch & Dinner Good morning Costa Brava. Today we re off to explore fabulous Barcelona. After a great breakfast, we ll board our coach and head to the city, approximately 1.5-hours, to discover this fascinating medieval region, home of the 1992 Summer Olympics, outstanding architecture and wonderful culture. Barcelona - In a privileged position on the northeastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula and the shores of the Mediterranean, Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain in both size and population. It is also the capital of Catalonia, one of the seventeen Autonomous Communities that make up Spain. There are two official languages spoken in Barcelona: Catalan, generally spoken in all of Catalonia, and Castillian Spanish. The city of Barcelona has a population of 1.5 million, but this number spirals to more than 4 million if the outlying areas are also included. During our visit, groups are welcome to determine the specific venues that they wish to see, however we recommend checking out the sights below. Additional admission costs may apply. Barcelona City Tour If you are coming to Barcelona for the first time, or if you are planning to stay in the city for a while, this is one way of getting to quickly see the city s monuments and most important tourist sights of interest. Montjuic Montjuic, the hill overlooking the city centre from the southwest, is home to some fine art galleries, leisure attractions, soothing parks and the main group of 1992 Olympic sites. In the northwest of Montjuic is the 'Spanish Village', Poble Espanyol. At first glance it's a tourist setting, but it also proves to be an intriguing scrapbook of Spanish architecture with very convincing copies of buildings from all of Spain's regions. The Anella Olímpica (Olympic Ring) is the group of sports installations where the main events of the 1992 games were held.

6 La Rambla Five separate streets strung end-to-end, La Rambla (also called Las Ramblas) is a tree-lined pedestrian boulevard packed with buskers, living statues, mimes and itinerant sales people selling everything from lottery tickets to jewellery. The noisy bird market on the second block of La Rambla is worth a stop, as is the nearby Palau de la Virreina, a grand 18th-century rococo mansion, with arts and entertainment information and a ticket office. Next door is La Rambla's most colourful market, the Mercat de la Boqueria. Just south of the Boqueria, the Mosaic de Miró punctuates the pavement, with one tile signed by the artist. The next section of La Rambla boasts the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the famous 19th-century opera house. La Rambla terminates at the lofty Monument a Colom (Monument to Columbus) and the harbour. Just west of the monument, on Avinguda de les Drassanes, stands the Reials Drassanes (Royal Shipyards), which houses the fascinating Museu Marítim. It has more seafaring paraphernalia than you'd care to wag a sextant at - boats, models, maps, paintings, ships' figureheads and 16th-century galleys. Nou Camp Stadium visit (included with your tour) Here you will get the opportunity to have a full tour of the stadium including the dressing rooms, pitch-side view, trophy museum etc. A not-to-be-missed visit. Day 4 Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Good morning Spain. After a leisurely breakfast, we ll embark upon our next sessions. Football, Rugby, Hockey & Basketball will go training. Netballers will have coaching & Master Classes with their netball coaches.

7 Training & coaching - After a buffet lunch at the hotel, students will embark on a further training & fixtures. In the evening we will have our medal & certificate presentations at our hotel followed by our Disco. Day 5 Breakfast & Lunch This is our last day before returning home. After a leisurely breakfast, groups will have the opportunity to either go on the beach, go shopping in Platja or they can have a morning in the local waterpark in Platja depending on the time of year. After lunch groups will depart either by coach or transfer to the local airport. Many wonderful memories will be taken with you. ADDITIONAL EXCURSION OPTIONS / ADD-ON DAYS PortAventura World Theme Park - The resort offers you three parks to enjoy: the PortAventura Park, PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park and brand-new for 2017, the Ferrari Land Park. Located one hour southwest of Barcelona, PortAventura has everything you need to have an unforgettable experience; even the environment in which it is located is excellent, as it s only a ten minute walk from the beach and another ten from the legendary Roman Tarragona. It s a journey filled with imagination, laughter and entertainment. Waterworld - At Waterworld on the Costa Brava, you can enjoy rides such as wave pools, rapid rivers, and kamikaze! Waterworld in Lloret de Mar is the perfect place to spend unforgettable days with your school group.
