2 Dear colleagues! The BIOPARTNERS project team ( Georgian-Europe Wide Enhanced research Links in Biotechnology ), funded by the European Commission, part of the 7th Framework program ERA-WIDE, is organizing International Conference on Food and Biotechnology, ICFB 2014 which will be held at Agricultural University of Georgia, Tbilisi, Georgia from September 11 to September 12, It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in this conference. ICFB 2014 will host researchers and scientists from Georgia, the Caucasian region and Europe. It will cover awareness raising, networking and brokerage for the participants. During this conference, internationally recognized researchers in food science and biotechnology will present their latest findings, exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and learn about all the important developments in biotechnology. The Conference will create an atmosphere to encourage fruitful interactions and exchange of knowledge and ideas amongst participants. The conference features a series of presentation and discussion comprising of plenary lectures and oral and poster presentations.

4 Important dates Abstract Submission Deadline (oral) May 1, 2014 Abstract submission Deadline May 20, 2014 Notification of Acceptance / Rejection June 1, 2014 Final Paper Submission Deadline June 20, 2014 Standard Registration Deadline August 31, 2014 Registration Anyone who wants to participate in the International Conference on Food and Biotechnology, ICFB 2014 must register on web- site: registartion.html. Prospective authors are invited to submit their page full-papers via conference website (No Fee). Abstract and Paper submission is available through: registartion.html. Accepted papers should be presented from at least one of the authors after advance full-registration. Best Poster Award at ICFB 2014 Conference The Best Poster Award is given to the best poster presentation at the ICFB 2014 conference. While selecting a poster for the Best Poster Award at ICFB 2014 Conference' the following activities will be taken into account: Research: The originality and quality of the research idea is judged as well as the methodology and execution of the research and the interpretation of the results. Presentation: The poster and the poster presenter are assessed for their ability to convey the research and its results to the audience. The poster design should effectively exploit the potential of the poster medium. The presenter s quality of communication will also be considered.

7 Social Program Welcome Reception September 11, 2014 Welcome Reception will be held at the Agricultural University of Georgia - Conference Venue. (No Fee) Gala Dinner September 12, 2014 Gala Dinner will be held at the most stylish centre for fine food and drink - Funicular Restaurant with an amazing view from the terrace high above Tbilisi. Rate: 40 per person Sightseeing tour in Tbilisi On the second day of the Conference (September 12, 2014) a sightseeing tour in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is organized (No Fee).
