3 SNAGOV LAKE The main attraction is the Snagov Monastery located on an isolated island on the lake, accessible only by boat or by the new bridge recently built. This is the burial place of the supposed legend of Dracula, Vlad Tepes. Snagov is a small village 40 km north of Bucharest, with its beautiful lake ten miles long. In the middle of the lake is an island occupied by a monastery, built in 59. Snagov monastery, located on the island in the lake of the same name, we must come to the monastery across the lake by boat if you wish (if time and weather permitting) or crossing the bridge on foot. Visitors come here to see the tomb of Dracula sitting in the front of the altar of the church. Vlad murder is believed to have occurred in the nearby woods, where the monks took his body, since both Vlad and his father had given so much money for the monastery.

9 BRAN CASTLE 3 Bran Castle - built in 378 atop a cliff and served as a custom check-point between Walachia and Transylvania and also had a strategic role in protecting the pass; nowadays, the castle is a museum and is included in most "Dracula" circuits as its legend was linked with the image of the Vlad Tepes, the inspiring figure for Bram Stoker's character.
