Belgrade, the White City as its name says, is the capital and largest city of Serbia, having a population of 1.23 million. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonia Plain meets the Balkans. For your first evening in Belgrade we have arranged for you an idyllic river cruise through the city. During the cruise you will have the opportunity to admire magnificent views of the illuminated city of Belgrade by-night. Along the pleasant music that pairs with the casual and relaxing atmosphere on the ship, you will hear many stories and legends about the history of Belgrade, Danube and Sava. 2 DAY 2 BELGRADE CITY TOUR After breakfast we will proceed for a panoramic city tour of the Serbian capital. Our guided tour will help you discover that Belgrade has it all: a charming mix of old and new that is reflected in its medieval and modern architecture, its historical monuments and cosmopolitan culture. Belgrade features one of the oldest and, in the same time, one of the most fast growing cities of Europe. History is interwined with modern life throughout the city. We will explore both the bustling modern part of Belgrade as well as its main historical spots, including the Belgrade Fortress and the remains of Singidunum, the ancient city of Belgrade that was founded in the 3rd century B.C. During our bus tour we will also have the opportunity to admire the Old and New parliament, the Kalemegdan Park, the Republic Square, the National Theatre, the National Museum, the Kneza Miihailova Street, the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral that dates back to 1837 and the Monument to Nikola Tesla. 3 Republic square National museum In the evening we suggest you to visit Skadarlija, the old bohemian district of Belgrade. Skadarlija is a remarkable tourist attraction which amazes and amuses visitors from all over the world. In Skadarlija you will find some of the most well-known traditional taverns, fashionable café-bars and hotels (e.g. Le Petit Piaf) of the city, as well as plenty of art galleries, antique and souvenir shops. There are also many live folk bands playing Serbian brass or traditional urban music and actors dressed in traditional Serbian costumes performing on the street. Overnight at Belgrade. 4 After breakfast we will depart to Sarajevo. Upon arrival we will proceed for a panoramic city tour of Sarajevo. The tour will take you to the main sights of the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture, including the City Hall Vijecnica, the Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque & Medrese, the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Bazaar, the Sebil, the Bascarsi Mosque and the Eternal Flame. During the tour you will experience a unique line where East meets West and enjoy the scent of fresh made coffee, flavours from hookah, sound of church bells and the chants from the minarets. You will learn about the assassination that triggered the First World War and discover why Sarajevo is called European Jerusalem. Upon arrival we will proceed for a guided panoramic tour of the town. Podgorica is the capital and largest city of Montenegro. It is the administrative as well as economic, political and cultural center of the country. During the tour our local guide will lead you through the main spots of the city and help you discover its charms. The tour includes a visit to the Old Town and its Mosques, The Republic Square, the "Bokeska" street, the King Nikola Palace, the Cathedral of Christ's Resurrection, one of the biggest temples in the Orthodox world, and the Millenium Bridge the impressive symbol and landmark of Podgorica. 5 After breakfast we will depart to Tirana, the capital city of Albania. Upon arrival we will proceed for a panoramic city tour of Tirana. Tirana is the largest city of Albania and the heart of Albania's cultural, economic and governmental activity. It is located on the western center of the country surrounded by hills with the Dajti Mountain on the east and a slight valley opening on the north-west overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance. During the city tour you will visit the most significant spots of Tirana: the Skanderbeg Square, the main landmark of the city that was named after the national hero of Albania, the Et'hem Bey Mosque, where pilgrims go to offer prayers, the Clock Tower, the Palace of Culture, the monument to Mother Albania and the National Historical Museum. It is the oldest and best reserved city of the country and is considered as a world heritage site protected by UNESCO. Ohrid is very rich in picturesque town houses and monuments and attracts tourists from all over the world. During the panoramic tour of the city our guide will take you to all main sights of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the Church of St. Sophia, the Amphitheatre - the ancient Greek Theatre of Macedonia - and the Kuloglu Mosque. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the charms of the city. Thessaloniki is a lively modern city overlooking the Gulf of Thermaikos. The White Tower (in Greek Lefkos Pyrgos ), one of the last remainders of the 15th century fortifications, dominates the seafront promenade and is Thessaloniki s unofficial emblem. In 1997 the city was selected as the Cultural Capital of Europe. It was also chosen as an Olympic city during the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece. Thessaloniki was founded in 315 B.C. by Kassandros, king of Macedonia and former general of Alexander the Great. During the Byzantine era Thessaloniki was the second most significant city of the Byzantine Empire, after the capital Constantinople. During this tour you will visit the Galerian complex, the Rotonda triumphal arch, the medieval churches, the holocaust monument, the port of Thessaloniki and, last but not least, the White Tower, the symbol of the city. Later we will visit the city walls, the trig onion tower, from which you can enjoy a panorama of the city, and the basilica of St. Demetrius from the 5th century A.D. It is located in the southeast of the country, on the banks of the Dambovita River, less than 60 km north of the Danube River and the Bulgarian border. Known for its wide, tree-lined boulevards, glorious Belle Époque buildings and a reputation for the high life which in the 1900s earned its nickname of "Little Paris", Bucharest is today a bustling metropolis. We suggest you to stroll and explore the Old City Centre, the beating heart of Bucharest, with its fashionable boutique stores, splendid high-end restaurants and cozy bars, all crammed up on picturesque, narrow streets. The Bran Castle is near Bran and in the vicinity of Bras ov. It is monument and landmark of Romania. The fortress is located on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as Dracula's Castle, it is the home of the title character in Bram Stoker's film Dracula. The castle is nowadays a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture items collected by Queen Marie. At the bottom of

9 the hill there is a small open-air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant crafts from across the country. Nature has been generous with this area that is surrounded by the imposing silhouettes of the massifs Bucegi and Piatra Craiului. The landscape of this area features a harmonious mixture of different landforms: high mountains, impressive plateaus and picturesque valleys crossed by curvy rivers. Lunch at a local restaurant.
