1 Made: 20 th May 2013 City of Westminster TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER WCC 2013 No. 76 The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 78) Order 2013 Coming into force: 28 th May 2013 The Council of the City of Westminster, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9, to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(a) as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling, hereby make the following Order: I. This Order shall come into force on 28 th May 2013 and may be cited as The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 78) Order In this Order: "enactment" means any enactment, whether public general or local, and includes any order, byelaw, rule, regulation, scheme or other instrument having effect by virtue of an enactment and any reference in this Order to any enactment shall be construed as a reference to that enactment as amended, applied, consolidated, re-enacted by or as having effect by virtue of any subsequent enactment; and "" means The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Consolidation No.1) Order 2011(b). 3. Without prejudice to the validity of anything done or to any liability incurred in respect of any act or omission before the coming into force of this Order, shall have effect as though:- (a) for the items in Schedule 1 to that Order numbered 176, 183,215,217,414,417, 484, 519, 781 and 1020 there were substituted the items similarly numbered and set out in columns 1 to 4 of Schedule 1 to this Order; and (b) for the item in Schedule 2 to that Order numbered 383 there was substituted the item similarly numbered and set out in columns 1 to 4 of Schedule 2 to this Order. 12 EXPLANATORY NOTE (This Note is not part of the Order, but is intended to indicate its general purport). This Order in:- (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) Brown Hart Gardens, amends the lengths of 'at any time' waiting restrictions in both arms to facilitate revision of the streetscape; Duke Street: (i) introduces 'at any time' waiting restrictions:- (A) at the junctions with both arms of Brown Hart Gardens; (B) at the junctions with Duke's Yard, George Yard, Grosvenor Square and Weighhouse Street; and outside the Marriot hotel on the south-west side; (ii) reduces the length of 'at any time' waiting restrictions at the junction with Oxford Street; and (iii) corrects an anomaly between on-street line-marking,md current Traffic Management Orders; Duke's Yard, introduces 'at any time' waiting restrictions at the junction with Duke Street; George Yard, introduces 'at any time' waiting restrictions at the junction with Duke Street; Lumley Street, introduces 'at any time waiting' restrictions on the south-west side; Providence Court: (i) extends the length of 'at any time' waiting restrictions on the north-west side; and (ii) extends 'at any time' loading restrictions for the whole length of the south-east side; Bruton Street, Carlton Gardens, Carlton House Terrace and Farm Street, corrects anomalies between on-street line-marking and current Traffic Management Orders
