Enjoy dining on the ship as you float gently down the river just outside of Vilshofen. Party German-Style at Oktoberfest Welcome Reception Get ready for the celebration of Oktoberfest with its iconic food and drink. Enjoy costumed local entertainers as they perform the music and folk dancing that have made this a yearly festivity around the world. DAY 2 - PASSAU, GERMANY Walking Tour of Passau with a Fun Marzipan-Making Activity Take a lovely walking tour of Passau, led by a local expert dressed in 18th-century period clothing. Experience many wonderful locations, including St Stephen's Cathedral, with its 17,000-pipe organ. Then, experience a marzipan-making activity that will satisfy your sweet tooth with enough yummy delights made to take some home! Lunch Onboard the Ship Eat lunch aboard the ship as you enjoy the scenery of Passau. CHOOSE YOUR AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES OPTION A: The Famous Tree Path Kopfing Walk among the treetops along 41 connected towers that provide an unparalleled view of the surrounding forest and the majestic Austrian Alps. Follow your Adventure Guide up the steps to the tree line and along the rope bridges decorated with holiday lights. Discover a giant slide, a suspension bridge and a fun-filled adventure playground for the kids. OPTION B: Passau Christmas Market Enjoy shopping in this fascinating town and find special presents for your friends and family. OPTION C: Aldersbach Brewery Tour and Monastery Visit Experience the spirit of Lower Bavaria at Alderbasbach Brewery. A working brewery and museum, the Alderbasbach Brewery is also home to a Cistercian monastery, founded in Enjoy a pretzel and drink while you're there. After touring the brewery and monastery, you can take a handmade pretzel ornament home with you! Meanwhile, Junior Adventurers are privately guided on their own visit.

DAY 3 - LINZ, AUSTRIA Day Tours of Salzburg Enjoy a day in the majestic city of Salzburg with a local expert. Visit the beautiful Mirabell Gardens and other sights made famous from the movie The Sound of Music. Other sights included in the walking tour of Salzburg are Residenz Square, New Town, Old City, Salzburg Cathedral, St. Peter's Cemetery, and the historic city center. En route to Salzburg choose one of the following activities (both options include a viewing of The Sound of Music movie in the motor coach): CHOOSE YOUR DAY ACTIVITIES OPTION A: Tour of Mondsee Head to the picturesque town of Mondsee along the famous crescent-shaped lake with the imposing Drachenwand mountain in the background. Visit the medieval Mondsee Abbey and see the church featured in the movie The Sound of Music. OPTION B: Tour of the Salt Mines The Salt Mines of Hallein are among the oldest mines in the World that are open to the public. Take a raft through the underground salt mines and zoom down a mineshaft slide all while learning the rich history of Austria's "white gold." Savor a Meal at a Local Restaurant Enjoy regional cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere in any of the local restaurants or cafes along the cities charming streets. 3 DAY 4 - MELK, AUSTRIA The Melk Benedictine Abbey Explore the gorgeous Melk Benedictine Abbey on a privately guided tour. Founded in 1089, this abbey reinvigorated the monastic life of Austria and Southern Germany. Danube Cultural Activities Get a taste of the local flavors with a fish activity, marmalade-making, wine and juice tasting. Also, take a traditional Austrian dance lesson and learn more about the Danube River, which lies beneath the abbey. Lunch Onboard the Ship with Daytime Sailing on Wachau Valley Eat a delicious lunch aboard the ship and take in the sights as you cruise down the river through Wachau Valley with accompanying historical commentary. CHOOSE YOUR AFTERNOON ACTIVITY OPTION A: Tour of Dürnstein and Hike to the Burgruine Dürnstein Castle Join local expert for a guided tour of Dürnstein including the famous ruins of the castle Burgruine Dürnstein. Rich and full of history, this tour takes you through one the most popular tourist sites in the region and gives you incredible views from the castle of the river, vineyards and villages. (Weather dependent.) OPTION B: Walking Tour of Krems An experienced local expert will share the history of Krems, while Guests indulge in the delicacies of the region. 4 DAY 5 VIENNA, AUSTRIA Tour of Historic Schönbrunn Palace Enjoy a privately guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace (translated as "beautiful spring") one of the most magnificent palaces in the Hapsburg territory. Learn the rich history of this World Cultural Heritage site, a testament to the Baroque style. Explore the terraced gardens, including one called The Orangery that is the longest in the world and others that boast a maze and a labyrinth. Inside the Palace, see the beautifully furnished rooms of the Imperial Family and the historic underground kitchens. Junior Adventurer Activities at Schönbrunn Palace Junior Adventurers enjoy visiting the Palace's Children's Museum and dressing up in historical garb. Children's activities are hosted by Adventure Guides. Private Marionette Show and Strudel-Making at Schönbrunn Palace Regroup for 2 wonderful family activities! Vienna is famous for its marionettes and at Schönbrunn Palace the whole family can participate in a unique marionette demonstration, followed by a private marionette show. Spanish Riding School Delight in this private event at the famed Spanish Riding School at HofBurg Castle, featuring a welcome reception and a spectacular horse performance. Take an enchanting backstage tour of the grounds and see where the horses are trained. On Your Own Time In Vienna Explore the famed city of Vienna on your own, visiting its shops that feature fine antiques, luxury items and fashion, Baroque parks and gardens, and the MuseumsQuartier district with its renowned museums, exhibition halls and galleries. Or choose to go ice skating with your Adventure Guides at Wiener Eislauf Verein, located in the middle of the city center. DAY 7 BUDAPEST, HUNGARY Enjoy Fun Activities for Everyone at Lazar Equestrian Park This rolling, pastoral, bucolic family estate is a combination of a working farm and an entertainment venue featuring the famed masters of horsemanship the Lazar Brothers. Take a carriage ride, see Hungarian cowboys known as "csikósoks" in action, be entertained by a delightful horse show, learn how to make goulash and meet farm animals up close at a petting zoo. Lunch at Lazar Equestrian Park Enjoy lunch accompanied by traditional Hungarian folklore musicians.
