According to the Coordination Center for Demining at the Ministry for the Kosovo Security Force, this campaign is aimed at preventing incidents with mines or other unexploded ordnance, as these explosive weapons still continue to hurt Kosovo residents, where from post-war to Kosovo (1999) has lost 116 citizens, while over 459 have lost their limbs and are left Demining Instructors lecturing in front of the pupils with life-long consequences. The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness among students and citizens of Kosovo how to deal with such dangerous assets, knowing that citizens, especially children, are curious to touch suspicious objects without realizing the danger which may be threatened by them. According to the Demining Instructor s assessment, already the children are now able to recognize the colors, forms and procedures of what they should undertake after seeing a dangerous tool. Most of the students thanks to these lectures have learned extremely much about the unexploded tools, and we have had cases when they themselves have informed us that they have encountered these tools.
