City of Tivat KEY DESCRIPTION FEATURES Tivat is located in the central part of the Boka Bay, south of mount Vrmac.

Its central part, where Tivat Airport is located, lies in fertile Grbalj valley.

Tivat occupies an area of 46 km 2, with 5 km 2 situated on the sea shore. According to the 2011 census, Tivat has around 14.000 inhabitants.

8 City of Tivat KEY DESCRIPTION FEATURES Tivat is located in the central part of the Boka Bay, south of mount Vrmac. The municipality lies mostly south of the town, and has an exit to open sea at the tourist location Pržno inlet near Radovići village to the south. Its central part, where Tivat Airport is located, lies in fertile Grbalj valley. The airport is located near the isthmus of Luštica peninsula, which belongs to the municipality of Herceg Novi for the most part. This is the sunniest town in the Boka Bay with sunny hours a year. The most common winds are bora (northeast wind) in the winter and mistral (northwest wind) in the summer. Sirocco (jugo), a warm wind that brings a lot of rain is common in the fall and winter. Precipitation in Tivat is exclusively in the form of rain, the average annual rainfall is mm. 07
