The ski slopes stretching along the slopes of Vitranc, past Podkoren and all the way to Planica attract snowboarders, beginners as well as expert skiers to Kranjska Gora. The ski slopes of different difficulties are connected through a system of 13 ski lifts, 4 two-seat chairlifts and 1 four-seat chairlift on the slopes which cover 120 hectares of land. 85% of the skiing terrain is covered with artificial snow system machines, which produce compact snow for the ski slopes. Besides downhill skiing, Kranjska Gora is also the ideal starting point for cross-country skiing (40km of cross-country skiing trails), sledding on regulated sledding slopes, snowshoe hiking, frozen waterfall climbing, ice skating...
