33 Activation Primarily generated by the beneficiary countries => demand driven Suggestions from Commission services are also considered.

34 How long does it take? TAIEX can quickly deliver the requested assistance From the submission of the application, a minimum of: 6-8 weeks for the dispatching of an expert and 0 weeks for the organisation of a seminar

37 Who decides? All applications are submitted for opinion to the: TAIEX National Contact Points (NCP), the EU Delegation, and the competent Commission services (eg: DG SANCO, DEVCO, AGRI ) The European Commission takes the final decision

38 Reasons for rejection of applications Lack of relevant information Audience from private sector only Topics fall outside the scope of TAIEX assistance Repeated study visits or enrolment of participants not involved in the requested area Area already covered by Twinning or other technical assistance
