2 Reisebeschreibung In March 2018, this will be our 11th tango cruise from Buenos Aires to Chile! Our starting point for this marvellous journey is Buenos Aires. Together we can attend Milongas held nightly in this cosmopolitan city. In addition to being considered the birthplace of Tango, Buenos Aires is rich in charm and culture. Enjoy a city walk through the picturesque districts of San Telmo and La Boca or shop in the trendy Palermo Viejo area. We can spend three nights in a comfortable 4-star hotel in the centre of Buenos Aires (March 2nd 5th) and then we will check-in on board the luxurious cruise ship Infinity : our home away from home! We stay one more day & night in Buenos Aires while enjoying all our cruise ship has to offer! The next evening, we head north to Montevideo and Punta del Este with its beautiful beaches. Our "once in a lifetime" cruise adventure begins The highlight will no doubt be cruising around the legendary Cape Horn, the southernmost point of the continent. We will witness the amazing sight of numerous penguin colonies near Puerto Madryn and the Chilean Fjords with its jagged walls and mammoth glaciers, known as some of the most magnificent fjords in the world truly an everlasting travel experience! In the ports of Puerto Montt in Chile, Ushuaia and the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where mountain and sea merge together, our aim is to explore Patagonia - one of the most unique places on earth. TANGO: you will have the opportunity to build on your Tango skills by attending the tango classes, which are held on board in small groups with Adriana Duré (Buenos Aires) and Felipe Martinez (San Francisco). There are numerous bars with live music, cosy cafes, a two story theatre, discotheque and a casino. Its special ambience, along with its world class cuisine, will provide you each evening with his sumptuous dining delight. Enjoy a 5-course menu served nightly in the elegant two-level restaurant, and visit the buffet restaurant with its large terrace overlooking the ocean during all hours of the day to satisfy your appetite. Pamper yourself with a visit to the sq-ft AQUA SPA. Indulge yourself in one of the tranquillity treatments, or shed those extra calories in the fitness centre. The "Infinity" has two round dance floors which we will use for our Tango lessons, Workshops and Milongas, depending on availability. The Milongas will be held before or after dinner. Modern comfortable cabins are equipped with air conditioning, television, safe, mini bar, shower and bathrobe. We have inner, outer and balcony cabins remaining. Suites are available upon request. Early reservation is recommended for cabins in order to take advantage of a central location on the cruise ship. Travel to/from South America: The cruise will start from Buenos Aires, Argentina and will end in Valparaiso, Chile. The international airport for the return flight is Santiago de Chile. Flight to Buenos Aires: Arrival should be latest March 4th, because check-in starts on Sunday afternoon. The ship will stay one more night in Buenos Aires. Departure will be on Monday 17:00 (5 pm). Flight from Santiago de Chile after the cruise: If desired, a transfer from San Antonio to Santiago de Chile can be arranged directly on the ship. (about 90 minutes drive, flight should not be earlier than 13:30 (1.30 pm). Flight bookings can only be done directly with the airline, not with Bailando Reisen. In 2019 we will not offer a Tango Cruise around South America.
