9 DESCRIPTION Recognised as the largest sport fishing yacht in the world at the time of her launch, MY Red Sapphire was built by Heesen in 1999 to ABS class and regularly maintained in immaculate condition. She features a semi-displacement aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. This superyacht's interior, designed by James McFarlane, sleeps 10 guests in a master, two double and two twin staterooms. Equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system, she s powered by 2 MTU 16V4000 M90 3,644hp diesel engines and propelled by her twin screws propellers. Motor yacht Red Sapphire is capable of a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. With her 33,850 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of nautical miles at 14 knots. Her water tanks store around 5,000 litres of fresh water.
