12 SAFETY INFORMATION Your safety is our utmost concern and deserves the highest attention. Please carefully read the following safety information so that you know what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency. On the back of your suite door you will find safety instructions posted which show your designated assembly station number as well as instructions for donning your lifejacket. You can also find your assembly station number on your guest ID card. Even assembly stations will be located on the port (or left hand) side of the vessel. Odd assembly stations will be located on the starboard (or right hand side) of the vessel. You can find your lifejacket in your suite closet. If you are traveling with children or infants, a child s or infant s lifejacket will also be provided in your suite. If the lifejackets are not in your suite, please contact Seabourn Square immediately. In the event that you are not able to reach your suite, spare lifejackets will be available at your assembly station. As a precaution, each child under the age of 13 must wear a color-coded wristband with their station number on it at all times. These wristbands will help ship s personnel get your children to their assembly stations should they be separated from you. The wristbands will be provided by staff at Seabourn Square. In case of an emergency you will be instructed via the public address system to go to your suite, put on warm clothing and your lifejacket, and collect any medications. For guests that have children participating in child programs, please proceed to the child activity center to pick up your children first, and then proceed to your suite. A short time later, the Captain will sound the general emergency alarm and you will be instructed to proceed to your assembly station. This alarm consists of 7 short and 1 long blast ( ) on the ship s whistle and the public address system. Please do not go to your station until the general emergency alarm is sounded as we want our crew to be in place to assist you. It is important that you go only to your assigned station.
13 Crewmembers will be in the stairwells and on deck to assist you. Please hold your suite keycard out and show it to them so they can read your assembly station number. In case of an emergency, you are allowed to pass through doors marked crew only to reach your station. Please do not use the elevators unless you have a disability that limits your ability to negotiate the stairs. For guests with disabilities who must use an elevator, several elevators will be designated to bring you to the embarkation deck, and crew will assist you to your assembly station as needed. Upon arrival at your assembly station, your Commander will account for you by recording your name and suite number. Once a roll call is taken, you will only be instructed to board the lifeboats if the Captain orders Abandon Ship. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the route from your suite to your assembly station. Prior to the beginning of our cruise, we will be conducting a mandatory passenger emergency drill that will give all of our guests an opportunity to become more familiar with these procedures. Seabourn believes that it is critical that you know what to do in an emergency both for your own safety and that of your fellow guests. For this reason, guests who are unwilling to participate in the drill will be disembarked. Thank you for your cooperation.
