1 Revised 6/26/2017 Livermore Senior Services Summer 2017 Venture Trips Call For More Informa on Trip Office Hours M Th 9am 2pm Most trips are taken in LARPD vans, unless sign-ups warrant a bus. If you are not checked in 10 minutes before the departure time listed, you may miss the trip. Departure time for each trip is listed inside flyer. Day trips must be paid for at time of sign-up. If a cancellation is received 5 business days before the day trip, a refund will be issued less a $12 processing fee, plus any incurred costs. Over-night trips require a $25 non-refundable deposit at sign-up. Extended trips (5+ business days) require a $100 non-refundable deposit. No refunds issued after final payment is received on all over-night and extended trips. Non-Resident rates apply to trips. Single supplement rates available on overnight trips. Non-seniors (under age 50) are welcome if space is available. Registration is only done through the Senior Trip Office. Credit cards, checks and cash are accepted. There is limited room on vans for assistive devices such as walkers. For more information call the Senior Trip office Monday Thursday, 9 am - 2 pm at Trip dates are subject to change. 2 Treasure Island Culinary Enjoy a 3-course lunch at the Job Corps Culinary Academy on Treasure Island. Enjoy a driving tour of the island with information on its fascinating history. Bring your camera for spectacular views of San Francisco and the new Bay Bridge. Lunch is included. This is the 45th and final year! This year s show is A Blast from the Past, the best of their 45 year history. Lunch is on your own at the Graton Casino before the matinee. Dip your toes in the ocean at The Boardwalk. Enjoy lunch on your own at one of the restaurants on the wharf. Bring a sun hat and light jacket because fog and windy conditions can occur at any time. Walk as much or as little as you want on the path. Vans will shuttle you to our meeting place if you do not want to do the entire walk. After lunch we will drive north to Pacifica through the new Tom Lantos Tunnels with a stop at Rockaway Beach to enjoy views and sounds of the surf. 3 Golden Gate Bridge Walk Stroll across the Golden Gate Bridge early on a summer s day. We will park on the Marin side and you will have your choice of walking the bridge round-trip or walking part way on the bridge and returning to the vans. Lunch is on your own in Sausalito. Sat Aug 12 8 am departure 3 pm $36 Santa Cruz Follies The Santa Cruz Follies are back! Join us for a toe-tapping outing featuring classic hits from the Best of Broadway, Then and Now. Lunch is on your own at the Santa Cruz Wharf before the matinee. Once known as the Floating White House during Franklin Roosevelt s tenure as President, the Potomac has hosted heads of state and celebrities. At one point in its long history; the boat belonged to Elvis Presley. Lunch is on your own in Jack London Square after the cruise. 4 Extended Trips 2017 Southern Oregon Adventure Enjoy a five night, 6 day motor coach tour of California s Redwood Empire and Southern Coastal Oregon and the Ashland Shakespeare Festival. Ride through the Avenue of the Giants and Redwood National Park, then up the coast to Bandon, Oregon. Our final 2 nights are in Ashland with outings to Harry and David s headquarters, a Shakespearean play and a cabaret dinner show. Pick up a flyer and plan to come to the presentation on Tuesday, May 30 at 1:30 pm in the Sycamore Room. Watch the colorful balloons in flight over the London Bridge from reserved seats, ride along Route 66 to Oatman and Kingman, Arizona, enjoy lunch and free time on your own in Las Vegas, and take a boat ride on the mighty Colorado River. Price includes a 4 night stay in Laughlin, deluxe motor coach transportation, round trip air to Las Vegas, and admissions as listed on flyer. Cruise leisurely through Austria and Germany on the luxurious Viking Cruises Longship Jarl. Then head to the Czech Republic by motor coach for a three night stay in Prague. Prices include all lodging, airfare, airport transfers, insurance, and more. Registration has begun for this trip. The 2017 trip sold out quickly. Prices vary by category.
