Depart Brisbane at 8.05am on QF 509, arriving Sydney at 9.40am. All passengers depart Sydney at 12.10pm on QF 107, arriving in Beijing at 10.15pm. You are met at the airport and transferred to the hotel for a three night stay. Please note that a Chinese visa is required and needs to be obtained from Australia prior to departing on the tour. By walking through the square you enter the Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in China and home to 24 Emperors who reigned during the 600 year Ming and Qing dynasties. In the afternoon enjoy a Kungfu Show, one of China s leading performing arts, followed by dinner. This is one of the best preserved sections of the Great Wall, and was first built in the 6 th century. Around midday you are transferred to the railway station to take the high speed train to Xian. Upon arrival in Xian you are transferred to the hotel for a two night stay. Today transfer to visit the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Afterwards drive back to the downtown area to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Park, passing the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, and also visit the Muslim Quarters. Tonight enjoy an included Dumpling Banquet followed by a Tang Dynasty Singing & Dancing Show. This is followed by a walk along the famous Bund area. Then visit the former French Concession area and enjoy some time for shopping on Nanjing Road, known as the number one shopping paradise in China. Also visit the Pudong area, including an inside visit to the Oriental Pearl Tower (2 nd floor). This evening enjoy a fabulous Acrobatic Show and an included dinner. 5 Conditions for Majestic Princess Maiden Journey to Australia Fly, Tour & Cruise Deposits and Payments - A non-refundable deposit of $2200 per person is payable within 3 days of booking. This deposit is not refundable should you later cancel. The balance is payable in full 12 weeks prior to departure. Macleay Valley Travel often has to adhere to strict payment deadlines and your booking on the tour may be cancelled if final payment is not received by the due date, with no refund applicable. Refunds and Cancellations - Cancellations after final payment will result in a refund limited to whatever we can recoup from the airline. Airline Tickets - Please note that any changes made to airline tickets once they have been issued will likely incur high cancellation and/or reissue fees. These fees are typically set by the airline and are outside of our control. Insurance - Adequate travel insurance is essential. We can arrange this for you if desired. Passports - All travellers require a current passport with at least 6 months left on it at the end of the tour. Non- Australian passport holders require a re-entry visa for Australia. Visas are required for all Australian passport holders to China. Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC) charge Australian passport holders $60 visa fee plus application service fee of $71.50 and we charge $30 for processing. Different visa fees apply to non Australian passport holders. A visa is also required for Vietnam which is obtained onboard the cruise ship at a current cost of USD $56 per person. Please note that visas prices are subject to change. Basic Tour Price and Taxes - Air taxes and fuel levies are included in the basic tour price if the tour is paid in full on or before the due date on the final invoice. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to charge for any increase in air taxes and fuel levies if the tour is not paid in full by the due date. Not Included in the Cost - All items of a personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, excess baggage, tips, meals, (except those specified in the itinerary), travel insurance etc. and transfers not stated in the itinerary. Similarly, credit card payments (Visa/MasterCard) can only be accepted if 1% is added to the price to help defray the heavy merchant fees charged to us by the credit card companies. There is a 2% surcharge for American Express. Health and Fitness - Macleay Valley Travel recommends that the passenger is reasonably healthy and/or fit to participate in this tour. Persons with a disability requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Macleay Valley Travel and their representatives cannot provide this service. Macleay Valley Travel reserves the right to accept/decline or terminate a passenger's participation in the tour under certain circumstances. Booking through other Agents - As we keep the cost of our tours as low as possible, there is insufficient margin for us to be able to pay commission to other travel agents, so some bookings can only be accepted if the client pays the other agent's commission. Limitation of Liability - As Macleay Valley Travel acts only as agent for the Airlines, Hotels, Coach Companies etc., providing accommodation, transportation and other services, Macleay Valley Travel shall not be liable or responsible for death or injury to any person or loss or damage to any property including baggage arising out of or connection with any transportation, accommodation or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of Government or other authorities, de jure or defacto wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, delays or cancellations caused by changes in schedules or itinerary, or over bookings or defaults or for any causes beyond Macleay Valley Travel's control or any loss or damage resulting from improper or insufficient passports, visas or other documents and neither Macleay Valley Travel, and its servants or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of the foregoing causes.
