18 SOLEADO CREW PROFILES 2015 Captain Paul Warner sailed from Tortola at age 17 to explore an exciting career on the high seas after his parents had emigrated from England to settle in the British Virgin Islands. Growing up amongst an island chain that offered all indulgencies of outdoor recreation that only promoted Paul s love for land and sea. His journey has brought the experience of Sailing Ships, Live-aboard Dive ships, Cargo ships and eventually Yachts through which Paul has held the capacity as Captain and Engineer. Paul took delivery of in early 2014 to make her charter ready, bringing safety and excitement that awaits ahead. Paul is an active part of his son s Boy Scouts Pack/ Troop and local community. Chef Elaine Scantlen originally hails from a Midwestern State, where her start at the farm table grew into fine dining and turned Elaine into becoming a tenured chef who has globe trotted and trained internationally in varying styles of cuisine. Chef Elaine prepares her menus with an eclectic style and offers seasonal, regional and international recipes to suit and is ready to prepare meals for those with dietary considerations such as Atkins, gluten-free, pescatarian or vegan. Chef Elaine has hobbies that include, millinery, travel and interior design. Chief Stewardess Soni Ricci, after growing up in California and being active in the great outdoors with white water rafting and west coast vineyards, Soni found her way to Florida and eventually out to sea. Soni brings along style and talent with her creative table settings and varying drink concoctions all with silver service excellence and comfort in mind, endeavoring to ensure that your needs are met. Her warm personality and upbeat energy who genuinely loves to serve and whom has charmed many charter clients, leaving them with happy memories of their luxury yacht vacation. Soni enjoys hiking, camping and paddle boarding during her down time. Deck / Stew Shelly Berry is originally from South Africa has been a preschool teacher and was an active part of her local church and community where she met her husband Steve and later married. Together they sought out to gain experience in one of the most challenging environments known, working together professionally! Shelly occupies an integral role and solidifies the team which makes at hearth and exuding a warmth of comfort and a relaxed feel during your stay while aboard. Mate Steve Berry originally hails from South Africa decided after being part of his family s business and having spent time working as an architectural consultant to begin a new chapter with his wife Shelly. Today after travelling extensively and finding home on with his wife, Steve offers an energetic and far-reaching approach toward your watersport enjoyment, whether its fishing, snorkeling or paddle boarding.
