Visit the village of Giverny, where Monet lived and worked for 43 years, and Honfleur, a charming French harbor town immortalized by generations of artists. Stroll through Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy, then take an unforgettable excursion to the famous Normandy beaches of WWII. Visit Les Andelys, home of Château Gaillard. Conclude your journey with a panoramic tour of Paris top sights and a visit to the Musee d Orsay. PARIS (PRE-CRUISE PACKAGE) TUESDAY, MAY 24 Today you arrive in Paris. You will be transferred to the Hotel Splendid Etoile. Accommodations are a classic room with breakfast included. Tonight join your fellow travellers for a complimentary welcome cocktail at the hotel bar. This hotel is located in the heart of the Golden Triangle with views of the Place de l etoile and the Arc de Triomphe. The Champs Elysees is just a two minute walk away. Accommodation: HOTEL SPLENDID ETOILE (or similar) B DAY 1: PARIS (EMBARKATION) FRIDAY, MAY 27 Arrive in Paris and embark to your luxurious ship. Meet your fellow passengers at the Welcome Dinner. Accommodation: AMA LEGRO D DAY 2: VERNON - GIVERNY SATURDAY, MAY 28 Spend the morning enjoying the scenery along the Seine as you cruise to the provincial town of Vernon. Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the town at your leisure. Later, you will visit Giverny and the home and gardens of Impressionist master Claude Monet. The artist lived here for more than four decades and immortalized his ponds and flower gardens in some of his most iconic paintings. The ship moors overnight in Vernon. Accommodation: AMA LEGRO B/L/D DAY 3: VERNON - CAUDEBEC-EN-CAUX SUNDAY, MAY 29 After a scenic morning cruise on the Seine, arrive in the old fishing village of Caudebec. You will have a choice of two different tours. The first option is to visit Honfleur, a historic and picturesque port with pastel-colored houses that was a favorite subject of artists such as Courbet, Boudin and Monet. The town s medieval Sainte-Catherine church, with its separate bell tower, is the largest wooden church in France. As an alternative, choose the Routes des Abbayes excursion spotlighting Normandy s famous abbeys, more than 100 of which once covered this region. You will visit the ruined abbey in Jumièges as well as St. Wandrille, still a working monastery. Accommodation: AMA LEGRO B/L/D DAY 4: CAUDEBEC-EN-CAUX MONDAY MAY 30 Today, you have the choice of three different excursions. D-Day Remembered is a full day excursion to the US sector. Your first stop will be the village of Arromanches, where the remains of the floating harbor used during the WWII landings can be seen. You will have free time to see the museums before visiting the US Cemetery and Omaha Beach at St. Laurent-sur-Mer. Your last stop is the artillery battery at Longues-sur-Mer before returning to the ship in Caudebec. As an alternative, you can tour the Gold and Juno beaches in the British and Canadian sectors. Your first stop will be the Pegasus Monument in Ranville followed by Canadian cemetery at Beny-sur-Mer. You will also have the chance to visit the Juno Beach Centre, Canada s WWII museum, with a final stop at Arromanches. A third option is an excursion to rural Normandy, which includes a visit to the Pays d Auge and Routes du Cidre (the Cider Road). You will visit beautiful Norman towns and villages, such as Beuvron-en-Auge, Crevecoeur-en-Auge and Cambremer, and tour a Calvados distillery where you may sample apple cider and apple brandy.

4 DAY 5: LES ANDELYS - ROUEN TUESDAY, MAY 31 Enjoy a morning walk through the medieval city of Rouen and see the imposing Notre Dame Cathedral, painted numerous times by Monet, and the square where Joan of Arc was martyred. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore Rouen on your own. DAY 6: LES ANDELYS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1 Depart Rouen early this morning and enjoy scenic cruising on the Seine to Les Andelys. An mid-day stroll along the river offers beautiful views of the Seine Valley s dramatic white cliffs, centuries-old half-timbered houses, and the hilltop ruins of Château Gaillard. This former stronghold of Richard the Lionheart changed hands a number of times during the Hundred Years War. Athletically-inclined guests may enjoy hiking up to visit the ruins of this historic castle before we continue our cruise along the Seine. The ship arrives tonight in Conflans. DAY 7: CONFLANS THURSDAY, JUNE 2 Today, you have a choice of two excursions. The first option is to visit Château Malmaison, former home of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife Josephine. Your tour includes the Château s interior, gardens and museum. Alternatively, travel to Auvers-sur-Oise, a town famous for the Impressionist painters who lived there in the 19th century, such as Paul Cézanne and Camille Pissarro. Your Artists Walk tour will include many sites associated with their work, including the Auberge Ravoux, former home of Vincent van Gogh. The upstairs room where Van Gogh died has been meticulously preserved. He and his brother Theo are both buried in the nearby town cemetery. The ship departs this afternoon for Paris, arriving in the evening. DAY 8: PARIS (DISEMBARKATION) FRIDAY, JUNE 3 Disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your flight home. B

6 CANCELLATION CHARGES: In the unfortunate event a participant must cancel travel, notice to AmaWaterways must be via , which must include a return receipt and read notation, or other writing stating clearly and correctly each guest s name, ship name, start and end date of the cruise and a brief statement of the reason for cancellation. Other forms of notice are not sufficient. The effective date of the cancellation is the date we receive the written cancellation notice. A name change or substitution of participant is also treated as a cancellation in that all cancellation charges apply. Cancellation charges are per-person, based on the cancellation date, as follows: after Group Review Date and up to 121 days before departure: $200 loss of deposit; days before departure: $400 loss of deposit; days before departure: 35% of cruise and land price; days before departure: 50% of cruise and land price; 29-7 days before departure: 80% of cruise and land price; 6 days or less before departure: 100% of cruise and land price. Protection plan premiums are non-refundable. After travel begins, there is no refund for unused services, or unused portions of cruise, cruise/tour or airfare. PASSPORT AND VISAS: A valid passport is required for each participant. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months after the scheduled return date to the USA. For travel to Vietnam and Cambodia, we require a copy of your valid passport prior to or at final payment. If not received in this time, embarkation may be denied and cancellation penalties will apply. For travel to Africa, a valid passport with 8 open/non-stamped pages is required. At publication time, a visa is required for a US citizen to travel to Russia, Turkey, Vietnam, Cambodia, Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe (as well as numerous other countries). A non-us citizen must consult appropriate consulates regarding visa and other document requirements. Obtaining required visas and any other required travel documentation, and assuring these are complete and correct in all ways, is the sole responsibility of each participant. We are not in a position to obtain or verify the accuracy or completeness of any participant s visa or other required documentation and shall not be responsible or liable for delay or missed portion of any cruise or cruise tour or other problems resulting from the participant lacking the appropriate travel documentation.
