This ship replaced the first replica which had been moored in Brixham since A popular tourist attraction, the ship offers a fascinating and engaging tourist experience, giving all visitors an experience of living history, learning, and FUN. The Golden Hind is the focus of many of Brixham s annual events, including the annual Pirate Festival in May, as well as the town s various firework displays. In addition to tourist visitors and locals, the ship welcomes over 1000 school children annually for educational trips, which include a talk by a Tudor costumed guide. This ship is a certified Learning Outside of the Classroom location. The Golden Hind may be booked for filming, children s parties and adult receptions. This ship has recently appeared on the BBC One Show and on Channel Four with Heston Blumenthal. The current owners have extensively refurbished the attraction in the past three years and the ship regularly receives positive feedback and reviews from its many thousands of visitors each year.
